Hi friends! I have some exciting news! Would you like to make a difference in the lives of students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties? You can become a dyslexia therapist! Registration is open now and training begins July 2024 (hybrid or virtual options available). Reach out to me if you are interested and I can send you more information.
Are you a parent trying to find someone to help your struggling reader? I have a lot of parents asking what they should consider in finding a qualified professional. It is important to ask about certification and training. A Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) has had 200 graduate level class hours, 700+ clinical hours of supervised instruction with students and has passed a national exam. To find a therapist in your area, you can find a list of providers at altaread.org.
Colorado Springs parents...come join us this Saturday, January 22nd, for fun, prizes (including two laptops), and lots of great information for families! I'll be there representing New Hope Reading Center with my colleague, Jen Rowland, from Crossroads Literacy.
It's FREE!!!
Come join us at our new office!
