We had roughly 30 players worthy of the Man of the Match Belt between our three matches yesterday, but these three men especially stood out for their physicality, grit, and ex*****on.

MOORHEAD RUGBY IS YOUR 2024 SNAFU CHAMPION!
It was a grind it out, rock fight type of day. The cold, tough competition, and growing pains couldn’t stop the Weinercats from taking home the hardware and ending the day 3-0 after scoring a game-winning try with no time on the clock.

Huge shoutout to our men of the matches, Devan, Ashton, and Grant. All three of these dudes stepped into new, big roles and made their marks on the field.

The road to Rhode Island ends here. The ‘Cats take on the Beast of the East Tourney beginning next Saturday. Our eyes are on the prize.

Between watching Moorhead matches, be sure to come support our local high school men’s team!

Congratulations to this Saturday’s Man of the Match, Trent. This rookie stepped into a new position and played well beyond his experience. He never looked tired despite a rapid fire rock fight of a match. He was excellent in all phases of the game, and earned the belt for his first time. Way to go, Trent!

Say hi to our co-rookies of the week, Anton and Devan. Both of these guys joined the squad this spring with no prior experience. That hasn’t stopped either from making immediate impacts and showing tremendous potential as rugby players. Way to go, Anton & Dev!

Shout out to this Saturday’s man-of-the-match, Zander. Big Z has been fiercely dedicated to the squad since day 1. Against St. Cloud, he stepped up and led a green pack in a game that featured a lot of tough, physical forward play. He made tackle after tackle, ran hard and helped keep structure amid chaos.

Way to go, Zander!

It was a great day of Rugby. Moorhead took the W and several rookies took the pitch for the first time. Thank you to St. Cloud for the great match.

Polars Crowned Champions at NCCAA DII Men's Basketball National Championship - Crown College Athletics Minneapolis, MN - The Polars Men's Basketball team battled with the North Central Rams on Saturday in the NCCAA DII National Championship and came out on top 75-72.

FM Rugby Club is hosting their Meat Raffle this Saturday, March 9th from 2-4pm at The Supper Club! Stop in to grab a drink, eat some food, win a variety of prizes, and HAVE A GREAT TIME! All while supporting growing rugby around the Fargo-Moorhead and surrounding areas including Davenport!

The Cats have an exciting slate of rugby this spring. It all culminates in a trip to New England to square off with some powerhouse squads at Beast of the East Rugby Tournament.

Join us in congratulating these three deserving gentlemen who were voted 2024 captains by their teammates. They will lead a talented and hungry Moorhead squad this Spring and Fall.
