Since moving from Tucson 5 years ago, I have tried every fitness boutique and gym in town and I wasn’t able to find a place where I wanted to train. When I walked through the doors at Fly I knew I found where I belonged.

I’m honored to be joining the Fly team 💛
•DIASTASIS RECTI•. Recent studies estimate that 50% of women end up with abdominal separation postpartum.
Just want to share my progress to encourage anyone struggling or feeling discouraged.
My journey to healing has been a LONG one this time. With my first child my 5-finger separation closed within 5 months. Today my second baby girl is 10 months old and here is where I am at. I am now at a 2-finger gap (which is technically referred to as “healed”) and I am one knuckle deep. I was two knuckles deep in this area until about 2 months ago.
I feel frustrated a lot. I have to remind myself daily to trust the process and that it IS working, it’s just SLOW.
Hang in there mamas! You got this 💪
Today was my first outdoor run of the year and it was awesome! I decided to do the safe thing and wait for the snow and ice to melt....but seriously WHY did I wear the white shoes?!? 😫😭
I am 21 weeks and still running and lifting. It’s not pretty and it’s definitely harder to stay motivated to get my workouts in as this baby grows. But, if my pregnant ass can get in workouts 5 days a week during my crazy track season, so can you!! If you’re less than motivated these days I would be happy to help 👍💪
Be fierce AF ladies 💪
Powerful New Adidas Video Busts Stereotypes About Female Athletes Wide Open Not tough enough. Not fast enough. Not strong enough. These are only a few of the women athlete stereotypes that Adidas is dispelling in its new campaign.
I am now certified to work with prenatal and postpartum women!
As a fitness professional finding out I had Diastasis Recti after having Emma was very embarrassing and frustrating. Diastasis Recti is the separation of the re**us abdominus muscle. I kept thinking I should've known better and I should've been able to prevent this with proper exercise (after all I AM a personal trainer). What I didn't know is that 30% of women experience this postpartum and having a large baby can often be the culprit (thanks Emma!).
After throwing a bit of pity-party I decided to educate myself and get to correcting the problem. I started a very gentle program that focused on core stability. I am just over 4 months postpartum and my abdominal separation is back to a normal range!! If you think you may be experiencing Diastasis Recti feel free to contact me! I would be happy to share what I've learned 😉

Some great videos showing common mistakes.
Kudos to all the moms and moms-to-be out there trying to stay fit! It's hard work, but it's worth it!
Here is my progress from 40 weeks pregnant to 5 weeks postpartum! I'm not quite back to normal, but I'm starting to feel good again! Hopefully the doctor clears me for exercise this week so I can start running again. Can't wait!
Working out while pregnant has been quite the challenge, but I won't give up! Here's to embracing the changes!
It's easy to feel discouraged when we compare our progress to the oh-so-perfect fitness models, celebrities, and that damn bendy girl next to you at yoga class (you know the one...). Be proud of the results you are seeing and your decision start living a healthy lifestyle. Don't give up and happy sweating!
It's track season people 😄😄
