I’ve been a little MIA. I just got back from IRELAND 🇮🇪 I would love for everyone to meet my God Son JUNO! He’s the cutest little Irish lad that’s full of smiles and LOVES for all the attention to be on him! He stole our hearts the second we met him and I’m so so blessed my best friend and her husband asked me to be his godmother even though I live literally 3,000 miles away! It was an amazing week full of laughs, tattoos, baby cuddles (Olive mostly hogged the baby cuddles) amazing food, lots of pubs, and good music. I’m going to miss Juno and his mommy more than they know but this week was soooo good for my soul.

This busy season has been the busiest it’s ever been over here and I was NOT prepared! I’m glued to my chair all day today and I’m sending out so many proofing galleries and galleries today! I think I am FINALLY caught up on emails! If you’ve emailed me and don’t have a response, let me know! I know I’ve said it before, but this time of year is insane for all photographers! We are definitely trying our hardest! I have one more day of fall minis tomorrow! Once those are done next Saturday HOLIDAY MINIS START! I am so pumped!

On Thursday morning Joseph and I sent Olive to school and were planning on spending the day together. We were in middle of getting ready when I got a phone call from my sister. She was freaking out because her water broke at 36 weeks. She asked me to meet her at the hospital, so I finished getting ready and got there around 11:30AM. Her water was broken and she was 2.5cm dilated but she wasn’t in active labor so they decided to induce her. At 4:30PM they gave her pictocin. Her contractions came fast and hard and she was having them every 2 or 3 minutes. She finally got her epidural around 7:30pm and it was literally like night and day difference right away! Around 8:30PM they checked her again and she was only 4 cm dilated and they told us the baby wasn’t coming until the next day. I was SO upset because I was photographing a wedding the next day and wouldn’t be around to come see my sister give birth like we wanted but I accepted it and decided to go home and get all my stuff ready for the wedding and try and get home sleep. I got home around 9:30PM, finally ate and hung out with Joseph before I got a call from Makenzie at 10:30 telling me she was fully dilated and ready to push, I heard the nurse in the background yell to get back there because we had time. I grabbed my camera and RUSHED out the door and back to Philly. I ran into the room and Azai was already in Makenzies arms, I missed his birth by a mere few minutes. Even though I wasn’t there to see him come into the world, I was there to watch the first moments of my baby sister becoming a mother. I got to hear some of his first cries. I was there when all hell broke loose in the room, when they realized he was working too hard to breathe and when Makenzie was bleeding too much at the same time. I was there for her when he was taken to the NICU and his father went with him. I was able to be there with my sister and wipe her tears and reassure her he was going to be okay. I can’t even put into words all the rush of emotions it was to watch the transformation in my sister in those moments and to see my nephew all 4 lbs and 3 ozs of him get acclimated into this world. I am so thankful my sister trusted me enough to want me there in her most vulnerable moments. Needless to say I’m so in love with my newest nephew. Boys still run this family and the Tous Genes are still so incredibly strong on this side of the family

Ahhhhh it’s wedding day for Matt and Elena!!! Their Moody Spooky wedding couldn’t have been on a better day! New let’s get these two beautiful people married!

I won’t ask about ways around it. I don’t care how incredible your session was, or how beautiful they came out, I believe all families have a right to their privacy no matter what the reason is. So just be sure to let me know before you sign your contract so I can be take out the section that says I have rights to use the photos on my website or for marketing. My goal has always been and will always be to make you and your family 100% comfortable!

Little Miss Sophia turned 1 yesterday! I can’t believe I was at her home a year ago taking new newborn photos and now she’s here in all her sassiness ❤️

You know it’s a good wedding when there’s an abundance of laughter AND tears. Besides my own wedding, this wedding is hands down the best wedding I’ve ever been to. I was running on NO sleep ( Olive was up all night sick the night before) and I had no idea how I was going to make it through the entire day. Let me tell you… I’ve never laughed so hard, cried or danced as much as I did at their wedding. I didn’t know I had it in me to dance and photograph a reception at the same time 😂 and radiate JOY every time I’ve seen them and their wedding day was no exception. You could just feel the love coming from everyone there. I absolutely loved being apart of their special day and I can’t wait to finish their gallery ❤️

I had back to back sessions this week in LBI and loved every second of it 😍

I’ve struggled these past couple years. I’ve struggled accepting the laws that are being passed or the lack of action our government takes with certain issues. I’ve struggled with keeping my mouth shut on this platform, because sometimes things are just my opinion and I don’t want to shove my beliefs in others faces.

One thing I can’t keep quiet about is discrimination against a person for who they love. The Supreme Court saying there is something about gay love that is not equal to your love. Who you are is not equal. The constitutional separation of church and state is no longer respected by the highest court of our land, and this is something to be angry about.

The ruling doesn’t only affect laws that prohibit discrimination based on s*xual orientation. Laws that typically prohibit discrimination based on race, s*x, nationality, disability, age, gender identity, and other protected classes, the court did not indicate that those provisions would be treated any differently.

I just wanted you to know. I am here, I am an ally and I love you. You will never be turned away from my business for who YOU are or who you love.

I have SO much to catch you guys up on! Between photography, working at the bar and raising my girl I haven’t found anytime to be on here at all! I can not wait to show you guys what I’ve been working on ❤️

I love family sessions during the fall season just like anyone, but something about spring sessions just hits different 🤌🏼🤌🏼
