A few years ago, I really got into the balayage/hair painting method of highlighting and lowlighting. I took a break from it to focus solely on my cutting but I’m thinking of reintroducing this with my services. I was quite good at it and I still don’t see many stylists around here doing this method.

I liked the clay lighteners as it was a little less harsh on the hair. The balayage method also looks more natural and it grows out better. You don’t get the line demarcation (the band) that traditional foiling can cause.

Here are some past before and afters that show how blended and natural the results can be. It can be used to highlight or lowlight or combo. Shadow roots, etc…

In the past decade of cutting hair I discovered that Bobs and Pixies are two of my all time favorite haircuts to cut so needless to say I'm extremely grateful that I have lots of clients that love these particular hair styles. It appears to be what I am getting known for in this area as I'm starting to get more and more referrals for those short to medium precision cuts that I love so much.
Even though these are styles of cuts I specialize in, I am also great with clippers and have also built my male clientele over the years that prefer a more thoughtful, stylized hair cut than you normally get from franchised clip establishments.

I am very much appreciative to all my clients for their continued support and referrals since I opened my own Salon Suite mid December. I am grateful to my new clients that I have gained since joining Nextdoor. I aim to please and I really do genuinely love cutting hair.
