CREEK STREET LANDSLIDE STABILIZATION PROJECT
BID OPENING – Sealed bids shall be hand delivered or mailed to the Munhall Borough office at 1 Raymond Bodnar Way, Munhall, PA 15120, until 12:00 PM local time Monday, August 5, 2024.
The public bid opening will be held at the Munhall Borough Building, 1 Raymond Bodnar Way, Munhall, PA 15120 at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 5, 2024. Bid envelopes shall be labeled as follows:

Equipment and Services to be provided shall be according to the specifications which are on file at the office of KLH ENGINEERS, INC., 5173 Campbells Run Road, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 15205, and at the Municipal Authority Office.
Copies of the plans and specifications are on file for review at the north Accu-Copy Reprographics location.

Copies of the bidding documents may be purchased at this location or online www.accu-copy.com at a non-refundable cost of $100.00 per set plus the cost of shipping.
No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of the opening of the bids.
Contractor shall submit an E-Verify Program Verification in compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act 127 of 2012.
BIDDER'S SURETY A certified check payable to the Munhall Borough or a bid bond on the bid form executed by the Bidder and a surety company approved by the OWNER, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of bid, must be submitted with each bid or bids will be considered nonresponsive and immediately rejected. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications or any applicable statues of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any applicable ordinances.
SUCCESSFUL BIDDING BIDDER awarded this contract shall provide a performance surety in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount.

ATTENTION RESIDENTS: The July 9th and August 13th Workshop meetings are cancelled.
Upcoming road closure! The CSX Railroad crossing on Amity Street is set to close at 8:00 am on Monday, July 8th. The sign says it will be closed for 5 days. There is a possiblity it will reopen sooner, we will keep you updated if the schedule does change.
The Amity Street entrance to the Waterfront will be closed during this time. Plan accordingly as this closure will increase traffic delays!
ATTENTION MUNHALL RESIDENTS:
MUNHALL BOROUGH OFFICES WILL BE CLOSED THURSDAY DUE TO THE JULY 4TH HOLIDAY. GARAGE AND RECYCLING WILL ALSO BE DELAYED A DAY. METAL, BRUSH, AND TV PICKUPS WILL STILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY.
Good evening residents of Munhall we will be keeping our cooling center open on Saturday June 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday will be the last day of the cooling center.
Attention Residents: Munhall Council Workshop Meeting will not be held on July 9th and August 13th.
ATTENTION MUNHALL RESIDENTS:
Starting Monday June 17th from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm the Borough will open up the Community Room on the 2nd floor as a cooling center due to the excessive heat. The hours for Tuesday through Friday will be 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Unfortunately, The Borough of Munhall is out of the Blue recycling bins. We will update the Residents if and when we will receive any.
ATTENTION: Borough of Munhall Residents. It is that time of year again for Solicitation/Peddling Permits. The Borough of Munhall has issued permits to Trinity Solar and Power Home Remodeling. The Solicitation/Peddling permits are good for 30 days. Residents have the right to ask for ID and proof of permit. The hours on the permit are as follows: Monday through Saturday 9:00a.m until 5:00p.m. If a resident has any concerns please reach out to the Borough of Munhall Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 pm at 412-464-7310 ext.1. If an issue should occur after hours please contact Munhall Police.
In Observance of the Juneteenth Holiday on 06/19/2024 the Borough of Munhall will be closed. Trash pick up and recycling will also be delayed to the following day.

BICYCLE SAFETY EVENT

Saturday, June 8th from 10am until 2pm
We will be holding a Bicycle Safety Event to help our kids get ready for the summer! We will be handing out and fitting free helmets for the kids (while supplies last and the child must be present), as well as a safety course to test bicycle handling ability and teach the rules of the road!
The event will be held in the parking lot behind West Field at 1 Raymond Bodnar Way.
