Halloween extravaganza hit the 5th grade floor today with activity stations to share some fun and creativity with our classmates.

Station 1: “Feel Factor” with Mrs. MacDonald and Mrs. Clark where students had to deduce clues to solve the mystery item in the box.

Station 2: Mr. Large challenged students to out their best artwork forward in a Halloween coloring contest.

Station 3: Ms. Noblet hosted Halloween games including spider races, monster pick up, ghost pong, and a Halloween spin on head, shoulders, knees, and toes.

Station 4: Ms. States created a Halloween trivia game on the iPad using the website Blooket, which is always a fan fav amongst our students.

Station 5: Ms. Muha and Mr. Kendro played a Halloween math dice game with candy up for the highest bid.

“It’s not an easy transition for fifth graders away from classroom parties and parades, so we thought we would extend this privilege to celebrate the end of first quarter and share in some spooktacular fun,” said Ms. Noblet, 5th grade social studies teacher.

Thank you 5th grade team for your creativity in this fun adventure and Mr. Stone for your support.

Have a safe and happy Halloween!

Introducing new welcome signs at Steel Valley schools
The Steel Valley School District is incredibly proud of its rich history and diversity. You'll soon be seeing a new addition to the entrances to each of our schools, as we are posting a welcome sign in multiple languages to reflect the wide range of languages our students and families speak. Please take a brief moment to view this message from Olando Dulin, Steel Valley's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Coordinator about the importance of the new welcome signs.

Today was a special day for the Ironmen Cafe staff. They cashed in their profits for a fun field trip to Chick Fil A and Dave N’ Busters. All year long students have been working shifts on our weekly snack and drink cart increasing our social, communication, and math skills. Great work students; you deserve this treat with all your hard work.
