The Hemlock House - Murphy, NC

Last time we went and worked on the cabin, we took a break and hitched a ride down the Nantahala! Everyone at Carolina Ocoee was great! 100% recommend this! For ages 7 and up.

If your group is all over the age of 12, and you’re feeling more adventurous, they can also take you down the Ocoee River for some bigger rapids!

Are the kids vacationing with you? If so, Vogel State Park won’t disappoint! They have a large beach with a roped off swimming area, pavilion, peddle boats, playgrounds, visitors center, and a short hike that leads to a waterfall! Perfect place to spend the day and it’s only about 30 minutes from our cabin!

When you go to Brasstown Bald to see the views, but the Smoky Mountains are doing what they do best 🤦‍♀️😂 It was still lots of fun and the little museum they have at the top is pretty cool!

When hiking, the early bird gets the face full of spider webs. Bring a tall friend and let them lead.

Our cabin is booked, but I had to share this for the LE Appreciation days!! We love our LE!

STARTING TOMORROW!

We worked hard this past week making sure our cabin is summer ready! Repaired and painted the deck, planted some rosemary and did other landscaping/yard work, fixed the holes in the upper drive and added gravel, having a new screen door being made for the master, hung a USCG flag inside, cleaned all the windows and screens, and so many other little things to try and make it better for our guests 💕

We finally had a chance to try Crafted Dough on the way out of town this morning and they did not disappoint! Scott and Lisa were awesome and so were their donuts and coffee! 1,000% recommend 💕🍩☕️

Some friends took us out to Helton Creek Falls the other day….100% recommend this very short hike! It’s about 45min from the cabin, but worth the drive. Pack a picnic lunch and spend some time swimming and enjoying God’s artwork 💕

Any healthcare workers looking for a vacation?? The Ocoee is just 18 minutes from our cabin and the Nantahala is only 40 min away!

I have always been so intrigued with the Indian Pipe plant and love when I spot them….we just so happen to be lucky enough to have them on our property!!! 😍😍
