Wood: A building material to minimize carbon emissions.
Did you know?...
"There are plenty of ways that using wood as a building material helps the environment. This can include reducing deforestation, reusing perfectly good materials destined for a landfill – as well as lowering emissions associated with logging, transport, and processing of traditional wood.
When it comes to carbon in the atmosphere wood is the only building material that draws out and stores more carbon than emitted during production. This makes it an excellent resource given its net positive impact on carbon footprint.
By trapping the carbon removed from the environment during the trees' growth, buildings made with engineered wood can continue to have a net benefit on the environment when compared to their steel and concrete counterparts.
Trees take in carbon dioxide and produce oxygen, so wood is considered a carbon-neutral product and remains that way even after being harvested. Through sustainable harvesting and their carbon neutral status, hardwood floors create a very low environmental impact."

Before ➡️ After, on a completed refinish project with 60 year old floors.
Finished product of recent project. Most of the floor was 60 years old and heavily soiled. Board repairs, full room lace in, ¼ room lace in and LVP in 2 rooms.
Tufftex Engineered 7½" Pecan "antique" install. Upstairs nail down, basement glue down, and custom matching stairway.
Client wanted a custom stairway to match their floor. We were happy to oblige.
Just another day saving floors. Soon to be refinishing this one!
Improper installation procedure and a cheap finish brought this 7 year old floor wavy, worn, and hazy. We transformed them to be nicer than when they were first put in.
We always love clients that care about their floors enough to put down our favorite 2k Finish. Last coat for this project, and we turned a beast into a beauty.
3¼" white oak with Gunstock stain. Unfortunately other contractors liked to track mud throughout the job site, but the floors came out beautifully.
Another 5" engineered Hickory natural installed this week.
While this 1970 farmhouse had floors that have been refinished once before sans one room. They wanted to see more grain and get some wear sanded down. Applied commercial grade Loba WB finish that accentuated oak while also being a sturdy finish.
These 50 year old pine floors were given a 2nd life.
Here are some before and after photos from our most recent project. Full photos will be out shortly.

Color: Seashore
This repair allowed owners to salvage some of their beloved floor which required weaving in new material to one that has moved over 20 years and suffered water damage. Sanded and blended in new oil based poly with the old. Nature will do the rest to darken the new section to match the rest.
