This WHIRLWIND WEDNESDAY LESSON while running: I need my music. The BPMs needed for faster pace. This past week I need the running power song, “Move Bitch, get out the way,” for these drivers who purposefully drive in the bike lane so not to wait in the long line of traffic to turn the corner. Let’s not forget the teenagers with their faces in Their phones while driving. Oops! I immediately digressed. 😀 Watch this short midweek check in to get your butt moving out the door. Oh and a quick funny on how my 6M run turned into a 7.6M run. Here’s this morning’s before sunrise run experience. This is not shared in the short video. Leaving out at O’Dark30 allowed me to have a nice run with no traffic. No speeding drivers running stop signs. Nothing but quiet and my heavy breathing and feet kissing asphalt. With the occasional awkward runner’s conversation in my head. Oh I love a good brain dump! The old left over stressors leaking out the brain and going bye bye forever! Zoning out and becoming one with the run. On this run I saw construction preparations for small stores. Save us all, there will be a Beyond meat market. Yuck! That is the bottom barrel of vegan burgers. That’s like eating catfish. Oh, I cannot forget the encounter with a skunk 🦨. Glad I’m an asphalt runner. I heard something rattling in a small shrub planted along the sidewalk, as I was running. I turned to look. It was Pepe Le’ Pew! I startled it. It raised its tail, I did a high knees about 2 steps to the side. Further from the side walk. I yelled, “get away from me!” As we eyed one another. Skunk had me doing the matrix. 🤣 Oh boy the last stretch home a kid comes barreling past me on his bike. 😑 me: Challenge accepted! (In my mind I was gonna win this race). Let the games begin! I started running faster. He was on a bike so the odds were in his favor. But I got home faster. Another morning adventure while marathon training. Have A Fit Day!

Out the door back and done before the heat turned up. This SUPPLE & SASSY SATURDAY MORNING route had an overcast and a nice breeze. The run explored the back quiet farm roads, a little bit of of the main highway and back up and through where country meets the suburbs. The planned runs for the weekend: 6M 5M 4M. What’s actually happened so far is: 6.5M 6.1M. The pace has been very slow. My body is protesting the movement. I told my body to shut up and do the damn work! Hills and all. Time to stretch there’s old joints and limbs. Might need a towel for this mat. I made my moisture wicking sports bra look like it doesn’t work. It’s so full of sweat, it can’t absorb or hold it.
