Northwest Shoals Community College hosts an annual “Manufacturing Day” to showcase the school’s Advanced Manufacturing programs and provide information to prospective students. These awesome you see here served as ambassadors and guides at this year’s event, sharing their experiences at .

We commend these students for taking the time to prepare future tradespeople of the American workforce while still completing training for their own life-changing careers!

The tools of the trade! 🛠️ This , we are showing off the toolkit that Northwest Shoals Community College provides for students in the HVAC program with their funding.

Natalie was stoked to get hers, saying, “The Metallica Scholarship helped me get a big head start. Most HVAC jobs require that you supply your own tools, and I didn’t have any of my own. It was very anxiety-inducing and stressful to have so many tools that are required for the field and see how expensive they can be. I am so grateful to have been picked for the Metallica Scholarship since they are able to supply what every technician would need to get started in the field. I am now able to get into my apprenticeship and build a career that I can be proud of.”

Hello everyone! I am Silvie Miller and I am your Miss Northwest Shoals 2024! I am so thankful to share my story through this opportunity as Miss NWSCC. I can’t wait to attend events, share my community service initiative, and make friendships along the way! I also cannot wait to compete in Miss Alabama this summer and represent Northwest Shoals Community College with 39 other fabulous women! TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIP💲 AVAILABLE TO NWSCC STUDENTS:
✅ The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Transfer Presidential Scholarship covers $6,000 per semester for four semesters
✅ The University of Alabama (UA) Presidential Transfer Scholarship (covers the cost of tuition for four semesters)

Verification of completed UA or UAB admissions and scholarship applications, copy of current NWSCC transcript, and a short essay (no more than two pages) stating how NWSCC has prepared you to attend either university with examples NWSCC involvement and your future goals and plans. Information must be submitted to [email protected] or dropped off at her office by February 15th.

The 2024-2025 Northwest Shoals Community College Foundation Scholarship Application is now open! Apply at nwscc.edu/foundation. Scholarships are available for graduating high school seniors, current NWSCC students, and adults. Deadline to apply is April 15! Northwest Shoals Community College
