Terrific Tuesdays is a camp for children ages 5-12 who have experienced the death of a special person in their lives, regardless of how long ago the loss occurred. Terrific Tuesdays camp provides a weekly opportunity for children to interact with peers in a safe, supported environment. We have many healing activities planned including yoga, arts and crafts, support animals, and more.

Listen to our counselor, Brooke, take you through getting ready for her school group at Lexington. These groups meet once a month in area schools and provide grieiving children the opportunity to meet other children who have experienced a similar loss. Did you know it takes $12 for One child who has experienced the death of a loved one to participate in one grief support group at their school? Valentines Memory Hearts
1 in 14 children will experience the death of a parent or sibling by the age of 18. Many do not receive support during their time of loss. We’re trying to be a solution to that problem.
This week continues our “Buy a Heart, Support a Heart” fundraiser. We’ll be selling hearts to place on our bulletin board at The Healing Place office in memory of your loved one. Any donation $5 and above will receive a heart.
This money goes directly towards providing support and resources during the intake process, individual counseling, and support groups.
Our goal this year 24 hearts! Help us help others by supporting those who are grieving in your local communities ❤️ #lovelocal

The Healing Place will be accepting ornaments in memory of loved one today-November 16th. These ornaments will be displayed on a Christmas Tree, provided by TN Valley Art Museum, at the Ritz Theater in Sheffield through January. We have $5 picture ornaments available for purchase at THP or you can drop off your own purchased or DIY ornaments @ 2409 Wildwood St in Muscle Shoals.
