A few more of us (re)certified as Lifeguards this weekend. A heartfelt thanks goes out to Lynn Richardson who is an awesome instructor and has taught so many lifeguards over the years that she has lost count of how many classes she has run.

The 2024 Tri Faster SwimRun series is a wrap. Thank you to all of the many people who gave of their time to make these events happen. Don’t you just love this picture of the Slates children who did an A+ job at the much needed water stop in the heat last night? Train on and we hope to see you at the Tri Faster ReRun 5k/10k/kids run on October 6!

Due to pool maintenance at Greenfield High School, the Masters Swim workout for Monday 8/5 will be held at Wilson Pool located at 4001 S. 20th Street, Milwaukee.

Ellen Klein looks like she has enough energy to go for another lap or two after she won her age group by 45 minutes at the Lake Country Half Iron Man. Refusing to act her age, she would’ve won the age group below her as well.

Congratulations to everyone who did the Tri-ing for a Cure triathlon, especially the brand new and returning Team Phoenix athletes. Let’s also give an extra big shout out to Stephanie Koplin, who was second in her age group in her first ever Olympic Distance Tri and to Joan Crisostomo, who took another age group win also at the Olympic Distance!

Diana is all smiles after completing her first ever 100 mile ride, which she did solo.

All smiles - congrats to Diana Schmidt on racing strong in her first ever Half Ironman at Door County this past weekend.

Great showing of Team Tri Faster energy at the Door Sprint Tri yesterday. Congrats everyone! Special shout out to three team members who won their divisions overall - Kristin Muehlenbach (relay), Joan Lauber (F 65-69) and Joan Crisostomo (F 70-74).
