If you want to build something worthwhile, be ready for criticism and negativity.

Teams aren’t good enough. Uniforms weren’t nice enough. Didn’t hire the right people to coach. Don’t travel enough. Too hard on kids. It’s all about the money. Individual kids aren’t talented enough. You should do it like so and so.

I’ve heard it all, I’ve been through it all, and I’m sure there’s more to come.

4 years ago we had one team with maybe 7 girls who lost about 75% of the games they played. I’m proud to say we just finished the summer with 6 teams and over 50 athletes who wore B2B on their chest. We took 4 teams to the MAYB Nationals this past weekend and all 4 competed at a high level and definitely showed growth. Our 7th grade girls finished 2nd with only 2 losses that combined for a total of only 3 points. We have 11th grade girls who are going to have an opportunity to play at the next level. We have a group of 8th grade girls who have showed a lot of determination to get better and come back stronger next summer. We have a group of coaches who know what they’re doing and push the kids to be the best they can. I could go on and on about each and everyone of our teams and coaches, but you get the point. I’m so thankful for this program and what we’re able to do for kids in the area.

At the end of the day, it may not be for everyone. But I know I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to and I look forward to seeing what happens next.

What a busy summer this one has been!

I’ve had quite a few people reach out about Individual and Group Lessons throughout the summer. And with things finally slowing down I’m happy to let everyone know that it’s time to get back in the gym and get to work.

7th grade girls bounced back in the finals this past weekend & Willow might of been more excited than the rest of us 😂

June is such a busy month with the majority of our kids playing for their school and not getting to practice, but we managed to get to Tulsa last weekend and compete some more. 7th grade girls fell short in the finals and lost by 1, 8th grade girls went undefeated and won it all, 8th grade boys fell short but are continuing to get better every time they play.

Clash of Clubs in Dallas this past weekend with our two high school squads. 10th grade girls are starting to figure things out, went 1-2 with their losses being by 5 points or less. 11th grade went 2-1 with their only loss being by 5. These two groups have some really talented kids who are going to end the summer with some college interest.

Some 📸 from this past Saturday at the Court Time Events Tournament in Tulsa. B2B finished the day going 7-9. Proud of all of our kids for getting out on Mothers Day Weekend and playing ball again. Also, Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms who spent their Saturday in the gym supporting B2B.

Just wrapped up the MAYB Nationals in OKC with the best group of players, coaches, and parents a program could ever ask for.

We’re not coming home with any hardware and we’re not going to talk about records or where our teams finished this weekend. But if you’ve been apart of this program, you know that’s not what we’re about and our coaches have instilled that in our kids all summer.

However, I do want say how thankful I am for all of these girls, these coaches, and these parents. This is possible because of you all. These girls displayed character, hard work, and effort all summer long. We didn’t get the outcome that we all wanted, but there’s no doubt we came home today knowing we gave everything we had this weekend. And for that reason alone we know that we’re taking the right steps forward with this program.

6th grade girls made it to the finals again, but fell short to a talented NBN team 🥈 Proud of them regardless, they’ve all made big strides this summer!

Last go in Tulsa before we head to Nationals in a couple weeks. Looking forward to seeing our kids compete this weekend 💪🏼 🏀

B2B 16U and 17U met in the finals this past weekend in Conway, Arkansas 🏆 Everyone brought home the 🥇

What a Saturday well spent in Tulsa! B2B is definitely moving in the right direction early this summer!

Our boys went 5-1 on the weekend after going 0-3 two weeks ago, Coach Deano and Coach Fry have been working hard to get these boys better each week!

11U girls went 2-1 this weekend, improving to a 5-1 record on the summer. I really enjoy coaching this group, they give MAX EFFORT!

12U girls go 2-1 again this week, Coach Miller definitely has them going places this summer!

16U White were 1-2, but I think this group of younger girls will make big strides when they play against girls their age in some upcoming tournaments!

16U Blue goes 3-0 and are on track to be a big competitors this summer. Coach Garner has this group playing hard, fast, and making it tough on opposing teams to score!

17U girls and Coach Arnold were 2-1 and that one loss was a close one. These girls are also on track to be big competitors, their chemistry is really what sets them apart.

I want to take a second to congratulate all the high school athletes who competed in Regional Tournaments this past weekend and also wish all of them good luck as they compete in the State Tournament in softball, golf, and track. Out of the 25+ girls we have playing for us this summer, we have 10 or more competing for a chance to become State Champions. What an honor it is to coach this many multi sport athletes 🏀🥎⛳️🏃🏻‍♀️

Back to the Basics is putting on a fundraiser for the athletes joining our teams this summer. There are many kids from the Muskogee and surrounding areas. We would like to invite you to get in on the action.
💲It is $10 per entry and you can enter up to 2 brackets.
🏆The winner will receive a cash prize once the tournament is over.
