We are so proud to announce that New Technology High School has been name a California Distinguished School for 2024! We are so honored to be celebrated for all the hard work that students and staff have done so we can receive this award. It's a great day to be a Penguin!

May 16th is Bike or Walk to School Day! Arrive early to school to get a treat. This event is brought to you by the Napa County Bicycle Coalition.

This Saturday, May 11th is our annual Spring Craft Fair. Stop by New Tech from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. to purchase locally made gifts and treats.

This week our Advanced Fine Art, Digital Design, Film and Literature, and Drama students teamed up to host a fashion show highlighting the biases prevalent in the fashion industry. Hosted on the Napa Valley College campus, students paraded the catwalk with clothing created by New Tech students.

Join us Thursday night (4/25/24) for NTHS' annual Open House. Incoming 9th grade families are invited to come join us from 3:30-5 p.m. in the Cyber Cafe. All current NTHS families are welcome from 5-5:20 for our All School Kick Off, followed by classroom visits until 6:30 p.m.

Come join us for our Spring Carnival on Thursday from 4-6 p.m. There will be games and prizes. $1 per game, $5 for unlimited game play. After tour the school for our annual Open House. Classrooms will be open until 6:30 p.m.

Napa Valley College and New Tech present Pride Movie Night. Friday, April 12th from 6:30-9 p.m. Register early! Popcorn and pizza will be provided.

17 students from NVUSD travelled to Ontario, CA to compete in the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference this year. Representing New Tech's chapter, President Maxwell Smith and Vice President Michael Richards had the honor of accepting the Silver Medal for the Chapter of Excellence Program. Chapter Advisor Lisa Gottfried is revving up for more competitions next year. This was our first year participating in SkillsUSA.

Yesterday students were treated to a rare sight. We all took to the field to watch the partial solar eclipse with special glasses.

Last week New Tech's Oceanography went to on a field trip to the UC Davis Bodega Marine Lab. We are happy that hands-on field trips such as this one are a core element of our Project-Based Learning here a New Technology High School.

Southside Napa Southside is a community-centered cafe and coffee bar in Napa Valley. We now have three cafes across the Valley: Carneros, Yountville and Century, as well as Catering.

We are happy to share some very exciting news! New Technology High School has been recognized as a 2024 California Distinguished School. New Tech is one of 293 middle and high schools to receive this recognition. Vintage High School in Napa also qualified for this recognition. Schools were selected by analyzing data, with a focus on demonstrating excellence and growth in academic achievement and ensuring a positive school climate. Schools are recognized for exceptional student performance based on achieving exemplary performance in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math, reducing suspensions, and demonstrating high graduation rates. NTHS Pride movie night on April 12thm 6:30-9 p.m.

Today our freshman class toured the campus of Sonoma State University. Our New Tech staff is happy to help the class of 2027 dream big!

This Wednesday during intersession C is the start of the NTHS volleyball tournament. We are still accepting sign ups. Talk to Mr. Wolf if you want to join. Matches will be held on the basketball court.
