Troop 1 Narragansett, RI
Celebrating more than 100 years of friendly service and adventure in Narragansett, RI
Another Week 2 at Camp Yawgoog is in the books! Troop 1 Narragansett had a WEEK. The week kicked off with a bang on Sunday with rain that forced us all into the dining hall. But the Scouts bounced back quickly and leaned hard into the weekly theme and staged a days long game of Yawclueg, and built mystery and intrigue distributing magnifying glasses to their peers all week long. Their entry for the bake-off was a #1 winner— “Mystery Mush” (bread pudding cooked over the fire, from unused dining hall ingredients.) They made the most of their week and had a great time exploring Camp.
Our six Scouts in Camp this week earned a dozen merit badges, awards for archery and rifle shooting, they advanced in rank and embodied scout spirit all across the reservation. What a week—we are all already looking forward to next year! As always, if someone you know who is interested in joining our adventures, please send them our way!
