If you're experiencing sciatica pain, yoga can be a great way to find relief. In this short video, we'll guide you through three of the best yoga poses for sciatica: modified pigeon pose, supine shoelace or supine cowfaced pose, and supine twist. 1. Modified Pigeon Pose: Lying on your back beng both legs. Planting one leg on the floor, take the bent leg and place your ankle right above the knee and lift your leg. You will certainly feel the stretch. Hold this pose for several breaths, feeling the stretch in your hips and glutes. Repeat on the other side. 2. Supine Shoelace or Supine Cowfaced Pose: Lying on the floor with both legs bent, cross one leg over the other and grab both feet, if possible. Feel the stretch in your right hip and glutes. Hold this pose for several breaths, then repeat on the other side. 3. Supine Twist: Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Extend your arms out to the sides, in a T-shape. Bend one leg and cross it over your straight leg. Hold this pose for several breaths, feeling the stretch in your lower back and hips. Repeat on the other side. These three yoga poses can help to relieve sciatica pain and discomfort. Practice them regularly to find relief and improve your overall flexibility and mobility.
