I have always wanted to perform at . It has been a bucket list dream since I can remember. My family watch it on Christmas Eve every year, it is a tradition and it has been one of those career and personal goals I’ve always hoped for. I am so grateful to and for making this magical moment happen for me and my family. Everyone says your first CbyC is something special and this was exactly that. Huge thank you to the amazing squad that made it possible and pulled it all together. The AMAZING .official for this off the charts gown; for the gorgeous bling; for being so attentive and accommodating and just smashing the hair and makeup! It’s taken me a moment to get to say goodbye to this one. I am so grateful I got to play this epic role, that I got to be a part of this phenomenal company of humans, that I get to call many of them my friends. This show is about community, it is about love in all facets, it is about family and friendship, about music and it is about joy. It has brought out all of those things in my life and it has been an absolute privilege and highlight. It was a true joy to go to work each day and I don’t take that luxury lightly. I have not had the challenge and privilege of having a child but people always tell me that being a mother is not about what you give up to have a child, but about what you have gained from having one. And even in fake motherhood, this beautiful woman has brought so much to my life over the last year. In true mother- daughter style she has eaten all my food, she has made me laugh like no other, she has driven me crazy, but she has also brought me so much joy and I am so proud of the relationship we have built. Thank you for being my onstage daughter. I love you. In the words of Shakespeare, ‘And though she be but little, she is fierce’.

My life, and especially the past year, has been marked by the power of female friendships and the solidarity and support systems they bring with them. The uniqueness of female friendship is unmatched. The emotional labour isn’t just one way, Women invest emotionally in each other as friends, strive to help each other rise and celebrate the successes of one another as their own. They are about solidarity, about honesty and about being there for one another.

These women standing beside me, and all the women of in truth, have been that and more - for me and for each other. I am so grateful to get to work with you, to have you as my colleagues, my inspiration and mostly my friends.

It is this absolute QUEEN’s birthday today and I could not be more grateful that she was born! A true leader. She is the epitome of generosity, leading with love and best intentions always. She is smart, vivacious, passionate, makes everyone feel anything is possible and yet always willing to get on the tools and get to work. Our Story

Elise is a Muti award winning Australian Actor, Singer and Dancer most well known for originating the role of Miss Honey in the Australian Production of Matilda the Musical, and her role as Lucille Ball in the critically acclaimed Everybody Loves Lucy. Other credits include Cathy in The Last Five Years, Ado Annie in Oklahoma, Meg Brockie in Brigadoon and principle roles in the the national tours of Mamma Mia!, South Pacific and Fiddler on the Roof. Her album Dahlesque was released under ABC Music in June 2017 following which she performed the show live in Concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
