❌Don’t make worrying a habit.

When we worry often it can become a habit. It feels very natural and as we go through life, worrying seems like the answer.

We will even convince ourselves that if we don’t worry about things we won’t be able to solve the problem. We talk ourselves into believing that worrying solves the issues and helps us in some kind of way.

But it doesn’t. 😞 It just makes us feel more stressed and anxious.

Start asking yourself how often do you worry. You may find out you do it more than you think.

✨Use language to lessen the anxiety.

Trying to keep it all in leads to high anxiety and all the body responses that come with it. 😤

That’s so unfair to keep doing that to yourself. ✨But when you put words and expressions to your thoughts, feelings, and experiences it takes the power away.

✨Give it language.

When we try to keep our strong emotions, thoughts, and experiences inside for us to deal with it internally, it usually manifests as anxiety. 😬

It’ll show up as shaking, racing thoughts, heart palpitations, brain fog, etc.

Releasing this stored energy from the body through words and expressions take away the power those thoughts, emotions, and experiences have in our bodies. This helps us to feel better. ❤️‍🩹

✨Having these thoughts doesn’t make it factual.

We all battle from time to time with anxious thoughts making ourselves to be worse off than what we truly are.

In order to take away the power from these thoughts ❌, we have to create distance between what we are saying and the truth.

Instead of making it a definite saying, replace it with “I am having the thought…”. And also remind yourself everything you think isn’t necessarily truthful.

✨Anxiety lies…

Our anxious thoughts can make us believe all kind of things like: we aren’t good moms, we don’t deserve breaks, we should be doing EVERYTHING!! 😤

These thoughts can create loads of anxiety leading to disrupting our lives and how we “mother” our kids.

Forgive yourself mama. 🫶🏽 Allow yourself to have these thoughts but remember just because you have the thought, it doesn’t make it true.

✨Your anxious thoughts lie…

We have thousands of thoughts a day! 🧠 And as moms with trying to figure out so many moving parts of our lives, the kids lives, and the family as a whole, we don’t have energy for the anxious thoughts.

In order to rid ourselves of those thoughts we need to create distance 💢 between the thought and reality.

1️⃣ We can check our thoughts by changing how we say it, instead say “I’m having the thought ___” or “My mind is telling me ___”

2️⃣ Question the thought: Is it helpful? Does it bring you joy?

Once you get to the point it’s not beneficial to have these thoughts, it’s all about getting away from the thought.

Go distract your mind if necessary but make the conscious decision that this thought doesn’t serve you and you’re moving on to the next thing.

Leave it to your anxious thoughts and you’ll find yourself believing all kinds of untruths. But you don’t have to. ❌

Next time your anxious thoughts create a narrative whether you believe it or not, I want you to question it. 🧠 Ask yourself:

✨ Is it true?

✨ Does it serve me?

✨ Is this thought bringing me joy?

Based on your answers, determine if it’s necessary to keep entertaining the thoughts and then go from there.

Doing motherhood unapologetically is the goal!! 💚

To truly thrive it shouldn’t matter how other moms do things. ❌ It shouldn’t matter if we are checking ALL the boxes, because that doesn’t truly make us great moms.

✨We can still be great moms by taking necessary breaks and having regular self-care.
✨We can still be great moms by allowing things to just be instead of aiming for perfection.

✨Motherhood is ultimately a chaotic beautiful experience.

It’s rather loud, messy, and overwhelming at times, but it’s seldomly boring. But even on the most challenging days, it’s all still worth it.

✨Everything is temporary.

One piece of advice to remember on the hardest mom days is that “everything is temporary”.

The babies don’t stay babies for long. The little ones don’t need us in the same capacity forever. The house won’t always be filled with the loudness of kids. The crumbs of snacks will decrease over the years. Because everything is temporary.

We can try and rush through these moments wishing things were different but we can also allow ourselves to be present and in the moment, keeping in mind everything is temporary. 💚

✨Mama-ing ain’t easy!! And having unrealistic expectations doesn’t make it easier.

Whether we realize it or not, I’ve noticed it’s one of the things that makes parenting even harder.

It makes us mamas anxious, parent rigidly, and uptight. We end up chasing perfectionistic behaviors causing extra stress to ourselves and our families. 🤯

Become aware mamas. Start noticing the unrealistic expectations in your parenting style and release yourself and family from it. 💚

✨ We are our kids first teacher. As moms not only do we care for them but we teach them based on what we do.

If us mamas care for ourselves properly, we teach them to do the same. Helping them grow into strong, healthy adults. ❤️

It helps to better care of ourselves by:

💚 Do it frequently
💚 Include the kids if you have to
