The 2024 ALGIERS MARDI GRAS FESTIVAL press conference was today! Algiers resident IRENE BURRUS was named the 2024 festival parade Grand Marshal. She is 100 years young and totally committed to what is best for Algiers! Delgado Community College student and artist Shaneta Taylor created the breathtaking 2024 commemorative Algiers Mardi Gras Festival poster. SPECIAL GUESTS INCLUDED: The New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy Brass Band, State Representative-Delisha Boyd, Councilman Freddie King III, Sheriff Susan Hutson, State Senator Gary Carter, Jr., Councilwoman-At-Large Helena Moreno, and Councilman at Large J P Morrell. Thank you to Delgado Community College for hosting today's press conference!
