**Project Update: Protecting New Orleans' Heritage**

We're excited to share an update on a unique and challenging project Davie Shoring, Inc. recently undertook in the heart of New Orleans! Working alongside Abita Tree Service, our team stepped in to provide crucial structural support to a magnificent 300-year-old Live Oak tree on North Rampart Street.

The historic tree, unfortunately, suffered severe rot and split at the trunk, causing its massive branches to rest precariously on the roofs of three neighboring houses. The risk was significant: if the trunk gave out, it would have caused catastrophic damage to the homes below. With only 3-foot side yards between the houses, access was extremely tight, adding to the complexity of the task.

To ensure the safety of the residents and the integrity of the surrounding structures, Davie Shoring installed our specialized towers, each rated to support up to 40,000 lbs. These towers stabilized the tree, allowing it to be carefully cut down in small, manageable pieces and safely carried to the street.

Our meticulous planning and ex*****on have ensured that the project is proceeding smoothly and safely. We're proud to play a role in preserving the heritage of our city while protecting its homes and residents.

As always we want to thank our crew that worked alongside Abita Tree Service to safely install and take down the shoring towers.

Davie Shoring was called out by Abita Tree Service to structurally support a 300 year old oak tree that was dying due to splitting in half, rotting, and having a failing cabling system. Unfortunately it was hanging over 3 houses, and in their backyards, with no access for a crane. Our crew worked Saturday to shore up the tree, and take the pressure off the branches to allow Adam with Abita Tree to cut it down in small pieces and haul it off. Great job crew for an innovative shoring job.
