Dance Mardi Gras 2023 is in the books - what did you miss?

Thursday started with a trip down Bourbon St for the Captain’s party (w/ Eric Nava) before heading back for social dancing.

Friday brought a big day of UCWDC competition….

Complete with a 2.5hr blackout and no power in the hotel!

Thanks to everyone for your patience and positivity - You were all amazing 💜💚💛

The main ballroom sang & danced in the dark before getting back on track at 6pm and finishing at 12:30am with amazing energy!

Saturday was packed with more UCWDC competition, workshops, social dancing & WSDC Jack & Jill’s & ‘Taste of New Orleans’ dinner show.

It was tough fitting it all in with as many dancers as we had this year!

We apologize it ran a bit late, it won’t happen again - Promise!

Saturday night is always the highlight of Dance Mardi Gras…

Saturday night rocked social dancing till 4am!

Sunday we started bright and early with linedance and a BIG couples division followed by WCS competitions!

Sunday we also announced the royal court for 2024

The court allows us to recognize just some of the people that make weekends like this special.

But it takes a village.

We will resume the schedule and pick up where we left off in the main ballroom STARTING at 6pm.

Social Dancers:
We will resume the normal schedule beginning with the 6pm workshops.

UCWDC competitors. If you don't dance, you WILL be given a dispensation by the UCWDC and Mardi Gras will count as a qualifier.
