We give treats for dessert, after a walk, because the dog is being cute, or because we like to hear them "cronch" (not shaming, I do it too). We spend our days giving out freebies, and then we expect our dogs to obey us for nothing but our approval? ...

In Islington there was a man, Of whom the world might say That still a godly race he ran,-- Whene'er he went to pray. A kind and gentle heart he had, To comfort friends and foes; The naked every day he clad,-- When he put on his clothes....

So let's talk about dominance and submission (no not that kind). Rather than thinking of “dominant” and “submissive” as personality types or general descriptions, we should think of them as temporary states of mind. ...

2021 was a year of old friends and new - a year of changing and trying to figure out our new normal. It was a bumpy road and I couldn’t have done with without my core team! Henry and Steve you guys killed it this year and talked me off the ledge many (many) times. Couldn’t have made it through the year without you. Honorable mention to Klaudia our photographer and treat dispenser and my eternal reminder that it’s okay to act like a lady at the dog park 😂. Additional thanks to Max and Maurice for coming thru at the end of the year and giving us a much needed morale boost. Your commitment and eagerness to work is impressive and I can’t wait to see where it takes you both.
Here’s to 2022!!! 🐾 🐕
