Mining heating systems can reduce 3,100 tons of carbon dioxide per megawatt per year. Now1,300 tons of the heat emitted directly into the air comes from the carbon offset per megawatt of BTC mining energy consumption, and 1,800 tons comes from a reduction per megawatt of gas heating. The BTC mining generates about 100 TWh of heat per year, enough to heat the average country for a year.
