Stephan Bonnar, who helped with the launch of the UFC, died at age 45, the UFC announced today.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Bonnar family during their time of mourning.

We say this all the time and still get emails from guys that their managers aren't representing their best interests and ony care about making money.

While we understand money is an important part of the business. your management company or "manager" should NEVER sell you out or make you take fights you don't want. A management companies job is to represent your best jnterest PERIOD!

If they are not doing that, you should ask to be released. You should also be asking your management company or potential management company if they are licensed. bonded and/or insured.

My last comment, promoters are NOT managers. They are promoters, they promote their events or someone else's and are not going to give you what you are worth.

We know people are not going to like this post, but at the end of the day we can sleep fine knowing that our clients are our priority.

Don't get us wrong. promoters are very important, we love working with alot of them. We are just saying their is a difference between a manager and a promoter!
