Hello all, I wanted to reiterate my support for the musicians of the ICO Musicians נגני התזמורת הקאמרית הישראלית. It was just brought to my attention that my participation in the March concert with the ICO is still being advertised, despite my cancellation in July in support of the artists given the current situation, and subsequent post as such on August 2nd, shared below. While this is being resolved through the help of my management team, I would like to reiterate that I have always and continue to stand in solidarity with the musicians of the ICO.

Dear friends,

I was to have played the Brahms concerto with Maestro Ariel Zuckermann and the Israel Chamber Orchestra in March 2024. I am deeply saddened to learn of Ariel’s termination and subsequent disagreements between the management and orchestra. Though I don’t have information regarding the terms of dispute, my professional experience and friendship with Ariel has been nothing but wonderful and I will respectfully decline to play this concert with the ICO at this time as my allegiance is with the wishes of the musicians.

I know I’m not supposed to pick favorites, but Brahms is one of my three favorite violin concerti. I’ve stood in frightened awe of its architecture, magnitude, profundity and heartbreaking beauty for thirty years, to the point that I was afraid to touch it. But what I felt on stage more than anything was gratitude. I am thankful- for this music, for my comrades, and for the warmth and energy of the audience. There’s nothing like it 💕 🙏
