📍⚽️ “I am always reminiscing about my time at Saint David’s.” -Diego Rossi ‘19. At East 89th, many of those memories are with classmates and friends on the soccer pitch. For many Saint David’s graduates - and millions of boys across the world - the hope of one day playing professional soccer is the greatest of aspirations. Today, we have proof that dreams do come true - even during a challenging year. Saint David’s is proud to share that Diego has achieved yet another monumental step in his young athletic career, rising to the highest level of Major League Soccer as he was recently named to New York FC’s Preseason Roster. As a product of the NYCFC Academy system and U-15 team, Rossi made the remarkable leap for his professional debut on March 13 in Orlando, FL against the Chicago Fire. @nycfc @collegiatenyc The entire Saint David’s community joins us in congratulating Diego and the Rossi family on this extraordinary occasion, and look forward for to celebrating - in person - in the months and seasons to come! ⚽️ 🎉 @nycfc @nycfcyouth

📍 “Saint David’s is an incredible place - a place you will always call home.” -Alumni wisdom from Brooks L. ‘17 A proud member of Boston Ballet II, Brooks was recently featured @youngarts as the recipient of the Silver Award in Dance. As shared by Brooks @bostonballet - “Young Arts beautifully amplifies creativity, passion, and the power of Artistic Achievement...The Arts have been an illuminating force during the pandemic. I hope that when stages return, my dancing can be a ray of light for years to come.” 🔥 🏅

📍At Saint David’s, our strategic partnerships are integral to curriculum. As evident by Mr. Hardie’s 6 Theta Black pod, the continuity of program continues to flourish. In today’s video clip, astrophysics experts from the American Museum of Natural History lead our observations of sun spots through a solar telescope in Central Park. As shared by Mr. Hardie, the boys also explored how light interacts with telescopic lenses to facilitate scientific observation of the cosmos as part of their Astronomy unit. The Saint David’s program continues at East 89th.
