23/07/27 - OK... current status of the New Kingston job is *paused*. My client has battled to fund even transport and food this month so we are suffering a bit too much to continue work at the moment. > It is a GOOD TIME TO HIRE ME if you are thinking about moving ahead with your Fall project. 23/07/21 - Working on site... mounting the acoustical ceiling diffusors used to provide environment cues at the engineer's working/"sweet" spot. We've been putting in 2-3 days a week this month in attempt to (at least) finish the basic acoustics of the Tracking Control Room before we have to stop again...rough going. We are counting every screw. Part of a new, client-built project. Two recording studios + office suite for an up and coming recording/production company - Kingston, Jamaica.

23/07/21 - Working on site... installing Dacron polyester batting over the deeper layers of RockWool as dust filter. The lower density and greater porosity also reduces very high frequency velocity to a degree (as a bonus). We've been putting in 2-3 days a week this month in attempt to (at least) finish the basic acoustics of the Tracking Control Room before we have to stop again...rough going. We are counting every screw. Part of a new, client-built project. Two recording studios + office suite for an up and coming recording/production company - Kingston, Jamaica.

23/07/19 - Working on site... RockWool installation underway. The first of three offset layers nearly complete. it's not pretty, It's not healthy, and it's messy, but, as certifiable pro audio control rooms go, it's where the magic happens. We've been putting in 2-3 days a week this month in attempt to (at least) finish the basic acoustics of the Tracking Control Room before we have to stop again...rough going. 23/07/07 - Working on site... Temporarily closing up the Control Room/Voice Room window space due to lack of budget. Panels installed as a low Q simple resonator to moderate the bass energy below 300hz. We've been putting in 2-3 days a week this month in attempt to (at least) finish the basic acoustics of the Tracking Control Room before we have to stop again...rough going. Last week on site... My client and his Uncle working the self-build. Limited restart on our most recent project. Most of the ceiling acoustical framing is complete. Time for more RockWool. The budget is zero so we are repurposing materials for the second control room to hopefully finish (at least) the first control room acoustics. Desperate times.

Flash Back Friday... Work in progress on the control room of a studio for Faithless band EDM Music artist, Maxijazz Fraser (RIP) designed and built by Artzen Consulting (2012). Photo shows the fully isolated flush and shock mounted speaker cabinet shells that are a special part of all our designs. I spent 14 years working with Max building and then supporting his house and studio here in Jamaica. I put my heart and soul into it. His death was a big loss for me. I miss and think of him every day.

23/03/03 - Well, it's more bad (but not unexpected) news.
My only project here looks to be on final stop now. We gave it a good effort. My Client worked his ass off to try and move things forward. It wasn't meant to be. The budget just wasn't enough to support. One inexperienced man trying to do the work of five experienced was just too much. Good news is I'm extra available now :-) If you need me, I'll be @ the intersection of Waterloo and Hope all day tomorrow washing wind screens. Best Regards.
