Endodontics and CBCT: Yan Ji et al (2017) in a study of 3D xrays opined that in detecting MB the maxillary molars ( most often "missed" or "undetected 4th canal" which is responsible for most of the failed root canal treatments), when voxel sizes of 0.40, 0.30, 0.20 and 0.125 mm were used, the detection rate increased from 60.1% at 0.4 mm to 93.3% at 0.125 mm. They added that diagnostic accuracy of interpreting the images improves with professional training and experience of the clinician.
