All of us at amfAR are deeply saddened by the tragic news that Hydeia Broadbent has died. Born with HIV, Hydeia became an advocate at age six when she started to share her story with millions on national television. Much loved and admired, Hydeia continued her activism into adulthood by educating people about HIV/AIDS and fighting stigma and discrimination. Hydeia appeared in amfAR’s video series, EPIC VOICES.
