Baruch College Swimming & Diving

The 2024 Metropolitan Conference Championship comes to a successful end with the Men finishing 2nd overall and the Women finishing 5th overall.

The Bearcats take home 14 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze with everyone qualifying for finals. Bennett Maczka wins Swimmer of the Meet and is voted the 2024 Dick Krempecki Outstanding Senior Award.

Baruch Swimming Wins Three Major CUNYAC Honors - Baruch College Athletics The CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) announced on Wednesday, February 14, the All-Stars and major award winners for the 2023-24 swimming season.

The CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) today announced the All-Stars and major award winners for the 2023-24 swimming season.

The Bearcats were honored with three major winners and a total of 14 all-stars!

Charles Lampasso (Coach of the Year), Bennett Maczka (Swimmer of the Year), and Kaetlyn Chavez (Sportsmanship of the Year) took home the big honors!

The men won their fifth straight CUNYAC championship, while the women finished Top 2 for the 16th straight season to be in the position to have 14 swimmers and Head Coach Charlie Lampasso honored in voting by league coaches.

Congratulations to Bennett Maczka on being named the 2023-24 CUNYAC Championship MVP after winning gold medals in the 500 free, 200 free, 100 free, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 200 free relay, and 800 free relay events!. He also set CUNYAC Champion records in all 7 events this weekend! 🏆😎👏

The Baruch swimming teams ended the regular season portion of their schedule on Saturday with the men defeating Ramapo for the first time, while the women defeated John Jay and lost a tough contest to Ramapo.
