Available in all Selima Optique stores in the US, our brand new RMF named frame, created in a very limited edition, in two color-ways, handmade, black or tortoise only.
For all movie lovers, each frame will be a part of a collector special edition with a cleaning cloth, a Kodak film strip, a postcard and a tote bag, until supplies last.
We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with “Kinds and Kindness” movie. Kinds of Kindness is a triptych fable, following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.
The film stars Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie, Hunter Schafer, and takes us through the three stories of R.M.F. with each star portraying a different character in each story. Kinds of Kindness is directed by Academy Award® nominee Yorgos Lanthimos and written by Academy Award® nominee Efthimis Filippou.
Selima Optique created a unique frame for this occasion named R.M.F - IYKYK- inspired by the stunning visuals of the universe of the movie.

“There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you try desperately to recreate at home. In ‘Great Outfits in Fashion History,’ Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite looks.
Nearly 25 years after Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s tragic passing, images of her roaming the Manhattan streets in ultra-chic outfits that look straight out of a Calvin Klein lookbook (she had worked as a publicist for the brand) continue to fill the Pinterest boards of fashion girls everywhere. And whether she was in an office-ready camel pencil skirt or a pair of perfectly tailored straight-leg jeans, one accessory was always present: her trusty oval sunglasses. “

“We recently connected with Selima Salaun and have shared our conversation below.
Selima, appreciate you joining us today. What’s something crazy on unexpected that’s happened to you or your business
I have been in business for 30 years now (Oh God!) and I have, of course, tons of stories (I should definitely write a book!) but the story, actually the two stories that always bring a huge smile on my face are these … “

Last December 6th was the NYC premiere of “Poor Things”. A month earlier, we were invited to create a pair of sunglasses for the movie. We previewed it and absolutely loved it. The Bella sunglasses were made just in time for the premiere and the 3 months since have been a roller coaster! Emma’s Oscar.. Oh Bella!! Our first tiny production run sold out quickly and our second is almost gone now. Should we do one more run?
Today we decided that yes, Bella will be part of the Collection. We might have to go to waiting list for a few weeks, but Bella is here to stay. Thank you to the incredible team who made “Poor Things” what it is and has become and thank you to our precious patrons for their support! 🎥🎬🍿
We’re all shook up -and not just by the earthquake! 🎶 And excited to let you know the Vito worn by Jacob Elordi -aka Elvis- in this GQ issue is now available in all our stores!
