We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Evan Cabnet as the incoming Artistic Director at Second Stage! He succeeds founding Artistic Director Carole Rothman; “and it’s my hope, it’s my task, it’s my dream to uphold and honor [her] legacy. The mission will remain the same.” Evan will program his first season in 2025/26, following Interim Artistic Director Bennett Leak's upcoming season of two Broadway and three Off-Broadway productions.

I respect and love these artists so much. We had an amazing time working together and making this thing together. It’s just been such a special, enchanted experience.
