This wall in a Financial District project was just not living up to its full potential.
🌟 Global Home Interiors to the rescue! We are pros in designing solutions for space dilemmas!

We designed custom storage, shelving and a 'stone' mantel around the fireplace to dress it up. The mirrored walls add more glamour to take it up the luxurious notch.

FIXED IT! Much needed glow-up in this mid-century rambler’s primary bedroom suite. Replaced the overscaled and out of place bed with a set up more suited to the environment. Added wall to wall, floor to ceiling drapes, sound absorbing headboard panels, and natural wallpaper for a cocoon effect. The floating fireplace is the 🍒 on top.

After & Before. Swipe to see the before. One of our favorite transformations. This awkward little space off of the main living room was unused but had the prettiest views in the whole house. Our client asked for a jewel box of a sunroom and that’s what they received.

AFTER/BEFORE: We transformed this awkwardly shaped and insufficiently furnished primary bedroom in our client’s country home into a gracious and comfortable sanctuary. Counterintuitively, we used every inch of height and area available to impart an overall sumptuous feeling of luxury.

20 years ago today we were scouring warehouses in Bali for merchandise to supply our new business venture Global Home which opened in August of 2004. Two decades in and four retail locations later, we couldn’t be more proud of our internationally acclaimed business Global Home Interiors and our online store. It’s no secret that it hasn’t always been easy — nothing worth having ever is. But it’s always been achievable with the two of us steering the ship. A strong partnership in business- and more importantly in life - is what it’s all about.

Sometimes a space just needs a refresh rather than a full gut renovation, like this guest bathroom on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Our client wanted a more sophisticated and contemporary look, but wanted to keep the existing tile. So we updated the vanity, mirror, lighting, fixtures, and put in a custom shower door. Also we pushed up the ceiling. But perhaps the biggest impact was the result of this gorgeous custom wallpaper from in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Just the perfect color and style! And, as usual, makes everything we dream up into a reality.

styling after & before. The living room in this Upper West Side Manhattan project wasn’t part of the original scope of a kitchen remodel and bathroom refresh, but we couldn’t help ourselves. Once the client saw the kitchen coming together, it wasn’t long before the living room needed a bit of an upgrade too. Some textured wallpaper, a new sumptuous rose-colored rug, chic mirrored cocktail table, upgraded lighting, and pretty accents really elevated this room on par with the renovated kitchen and bath. Beautiful new artwork is our client’s own creation!!! Swipe to see the before.

📸 Check out this stunning kitchen redesign and remodel we just completed on the Upper West Side! 😍 designed and managed all elements of construction on this project. We transformed this space into a stunning and glamorous functional sanctuary, adjectives not normally associated with a kitchen, but we say YASSS!!! Swipe to see the before and after transformation! ✨ Special shoutout to who expertly and carefully executed the construction and our gracious clients.

We’re pretty old-school when it comes to kicking off the design process. Inspiration boards are an invaluable tool to cement the overall direction of a project. Magazine tears, paint and fabric samples, and rough floor plans allow us to start budgeting and sourcing.
Here is our latest for a whole house project we’re starting in 🇮🇹 🙏🙏

House Tour of our Brooklyn Heights brownstone project. We’ve posted these before individually, but seeing them all together as a walk-through of sorts really allows one to understand the overall design prescription for the entire home. We hope you enjoy this space as much as the homeowners do and as much as we enjoyed creating it!

One of our favorite images from our downtown Brooklyn high-rise project. It really demonstrates the importance of harmonious pattern mixing in making a space feel soft and inviting yet interesting. The patterns are of various scales and pedigree, but they are all brought together by color. Throw in disparate textures - and we have us a sensuous retreat.

In this Brooklyn high rise apartment’s great room, our mission was to imbue a bit of English boutique hotel whimsy and glam into a new construction modernist white box, so we piled on plenty of patterned wallpaper and fabrics and quirky lighting.

When all was said and done with this downtown Brooklyn residential project our client still needed more storage. So we found the largest mirrored cabinet allowable by law (ok, that’s not a thing) and, voila, storage problem solved without taking up too much space visually.

Bold wallpaper in the bathroom is our jam. Here, our clients wanted their hall bathrooms to feel fun and be able to stand up to and compliment their irreverent art collection.

We kept the rustic stone wall exposed in this townhouse renovation in recognition of the home’s historic past. It became the perfect spot for a cozy dining nook due to it being adjacent to the newly renovated kitchen.

Let’s start the week with another view of a grand parlor we designed in this Brooklyn Heights Promenade townhouse project. Although this room is cavernous, we wanted it to feel fully furnished and comfortable without it feeling too complicated. The black-backed bookcases do a lot of the heavy lifting here.

A beautiful way to not only conceal a tv in a guest room but add a significant amount of secondary storage. We love the patina that antique Chinese cabinets add to a room, and the intense teal of this one really sings against the purple grass cloth wallpaper we specified

Let’s start the week with a bit of a palate cleanser from a townhouse project. The bedroom pictured here is below street level, so our assignment was to lighten it up and keep it fresh. We close a light neutral palette to create this calming retreat in the middle of this busy neighborhood.
