We are in previews for THE WORLD ACCORDING TO MICKI GRANT. Directed and conceived by the amazing Nora Cole. A New Federal Theater Project.
We open June 6th at The WP Theater, 2162 Broadway (@ W76th St). Working with these marveous performers; Matalyn Alecia, Patrice Bell, Brian Davis. The show will run until June 29th.

So lovely to be with and perform for the Family & Children's Agency in Norwalk, CT. This year, along with the talented, Ayodele Maakheru (guitar, banjo), I presented my new Black History show: Jenkins, Jenkins, COleman and Jones: a storytelling show about Ella Jenkins (turning 100 this year), Reverend Daniels Jenkins and his Orphanage in South Caroline, Bessie Coleman (our first black aviatrix) and Matilda Sissieretta Jones (first black soprano to perform at Carnegie Hall).

We were fortunate to welcome April Armstrong Storyteller and Ayodele Maakheru to help us celebrate Black History Month and Women's History Month!

Sharing the Fire-STF 2024-Sharing the Fire - Northeast Storytelling 20/03/2024

What a crazy busy past 8 weeks! Chicago (storytelling at the Logan Center); then to Providence, RI performing my show, Two Wings to Heaven: The Bessie Coleman Story, for the Rhode Island Black Storytellers for FUNDAFEST. Then, a week later in Salt Lake City, Utah doing the Pioneer Theater 's production of Bonnie & Clyde.
Days after we closed, I returned to NYC to perform Two Wings again, for the Apollo Theater Education Program.
Tomorrow I head to Portsmouth NH to Co-Chair the annual conference of the Northeast Storytellers' Sharing the Fire.
Eh, I'll sleep when I'm dead.
