The monthly meeting for July has been rescheduled from the 2nd of July to the 9th. Also any retired members wanting to serve on the political action committee please reach out to President Mark Emde at [email protected] prior to July 9th.
Special thanks to John Purtee for repairing the driveway at the lodge and Bill Evans / Bill's tree service for providing the equipment. For those members that enjoyed the roller coaster over the last few years, we would direct you to an amusement park from now on.
In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15 falls, as National Police Week. Established by a joint resolution of Congress in 1962, National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.
National Police Week is a collaborative effort of many organizations dedicated to honoring America’s law enforcement community.

The lodge is safe for now. Water has not crested the bank. We will have a few members here on site to continue to monitor the situation and take action if needed. Everyone stay safe.
The lodge is closed tonight due to in coming weather. The meeting is rescheduled for Tuesday April 16th, usual time.
Heath Police Dispatcher applications are being accepted.
The Heath Police Department is accepting applications for Lateral Transfer eligible officers. Scan the QR code below to complete the application. Applications can also be picked up at 1287 Hebron Rd. Heath, Ohio during normal business hours.
Deadline for completed applications will be March 15th, 2024 at noon.

FOP meeting tomorrow night 7:30 pm.
The Newark Division of Police is saddened to announce the death of Retired Detective Sergeant William “Bill” Davis Comisford, Sr..
At the age 95, he was our oldest living retiree. Bill was a United States Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. In 1957, Bill joined his older brother Homer on the Newark Police Department, where he would go on to serve for 23 years. Retirement came early, as a result of a heart attack and subsequent by-pass surgery.
Family and friends may call at the Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N 21st Street in Newark on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 5 until 7 PM. Calling hours will begin at 9 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2024, with a celebration of life for Bill to be held at 10 AM. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with full Police Honors. Newark Police will be providing a casket watch, while the Newark Masonic Lodge #554 will be conducting a Masonic Service after calling hours on Friday at the funeral home. Military Funeral Honors will be performed by the US Veterans at the grave site.
