Last Sat night I was down to 7 cars at Silver Dollar Raceway and broke the crankshaft in the engine when I started my burnout. Not what I had in mind at all. I'll keep you guys informed as to when I may have the Black Mamba repaired when I get a plan together.

Had a really good outing at Brainerd 5-7-16. Picked up the no box W. Thanks to Xtreme Door Systems and Fairburn Emission and Automotive as always. ;-)

I had all intentions of riding up to Brainerd Sat morning and racing, but changed my mind because of a few different reasons and I'm glad I did. Would have hated to drive 2 hrs and get sent back home because of an accident that took out a section of guardrail. Hate it for the guys that wrecked as well. I'll just make sure the Black Mamba is ready for the NMRA/NMCA race at Atlanta Dragway next week.

Wow, it's been a while since I had any news about my racing program. Since New Year's 2016 there hasn't been much going on but things are about to get rolling. I made a trip to Brainerd Optimist Dragway Saturday to test a new intake manifold I put on the S10 last week. When I took the old intake off I found that the intake gaskets had been leaking in several places. The truck picked up 2 tenths and 2 mph along with giving me the adjustability I was needing. Not to mention the killer consistency is back as the truck only moved .007 from the time I got there until the time I left. Looking forward to the MountzPro Bracket Nationals in a few weeks at Atmore!

In only 3 weeks the 2016 racing season will kick off for Toby Barnes Racing at The New Year's Nationals at SGMP. This will be a 3 day event which will be paying 5000.00 to the winner in top and bottom bulb classes. The Black Mamba S10 is ready to go and I'm really looking forward to starting off the new year on a positive note!

The Black Mamba isn't going anywhere. I thought I had found something I wanted to replace it with, but after careful consideration, and the threats of my wife and children disowning me, I came to my senses! I will just continue to try to make it better all of the time as always.

This past week I kept the Black Mamba in the shop for some maintenance and repairs preparing for the next few months of heavy big money racing. I had to replace the trans pan and trans dipstick and tube assembly. It was leaking trans fluid at both places but now that's taken care of. Ran through the valves and they barely needed anything which is good. Changed the engine oil and filter even though what was in it looked brand new after 160 runs. I think I'm ready to go at it again now!

I've been thrashing behind the scenes for the last month or so and will have some exciting news for my racing program to announce soon!
