We look to nature to draw inspiration from for our Japanese acetate colors. The process begins by reviewing photos from photographers we work with. We then head to our partners in Japan who use the color inspiration to make a custom acetate color that is unique to SALT. This past season we introduced a few new exclusive colors and as a part of this release we wanted to spotlight just 2 of the photographers we work with. The first one is Jeremy Bishop.

Why Japanese acetate? The premium Japanese acetate we use is made from cotton seeds and wood pulp. A cellulose material free from petroleum. The material is hypoallergenic, sustainable and highly durable. Working closely with our partners in Japan, who bring over a 100 years of experience and artistry, we are able to make glasses that not only fit great but should last for generations.

Rose Fog is another custom color we made this season and we thought it would look great on the new Cascade. The Cascade is an oversized sunglass that takes inspiration from the bold styles of the 60’s and 70’s.
