The industry lost a great one this week. Chef Forrest Warren was a legend. If you ever had the pleasure of working alongside him, you know he had superpowers. The ability to make you feel seen, heard, appreciated, and loved. His impact on the culinary field in our area is unmatched. Multiple members of our staff have worked with Forrest over the years going as far back as Red Star Tavern in Newport News. He was the best.

We send our deepest condolences to his wife, Angie, and their families. To the Smoke - BBQ Restaurant & Bar family…. We send all our love. We are so sorry for your loss.

The industry won’t be the same without him. We will honor his memory as best we can.
