Today our residents decorated their own Summer door hanger!
They got to choose their paint color, sign design, sign shape and the items placed on their hanger.
We love a good hands on art and craft!
Each resident’s hanger is uniquely crafted, each different and beautiful.
These daily reminders of God seem to consistently pop up through the day.
Giving us each a gentle reminder of how God created each of us uniquely different, beautiful and in His image. ❤️

👔 Celebrating Father's Day together was a blast, especially with classic root beer floats! 🍦 It was a day filled with joy, laughter, and sweet treats, making our dads feel truly special. Here's to all the amazing fathers and the wonderful memories we created. Thank you Arkansas Hospice for the floats! Cheers to many more celebrations together! 💖🎉

Getting our daily dose of vitamin D! ☀️
We’re convinced that sunshine is good for the soul! ❤️
Exposure to sunlight helps the body to produce vitamin D, helping regulate many things in our body. Such as supporting glucose metabolism, the absorption of calcium and phosphorus, lower our blood pressure, and helps with our mood and mental health! The sun is also a great source for pain relief and aids in fighting inflammation.

It may be heating up outside, but our residents sure know how to keep it cool! 🍦 We conducted a science experiment by creating our own ice cream and testing out different methods such as salt amount and type, ice amount, and lastly the rate/time we shook our bags! 🌟
What’s your favorite STEM activity?

We spend a lot of time talking about the beloved game of bingo, but it’s SO MUCH more than that. 🎉 It’s a chance to build friendships, stimulate our minds, and, most importantly, it brings us all together. 👫❤️ We laugh, converse, and share the joy our residents bring us. 😊✨

Today, we had a fantastic movie matinee together! 🎬🍿 There’s nothing quite like enjoying a good film with fresh popcorn in hand. Our residents loved the experience, sharing laughs and creating new memories. It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon! 🌟 🍿🎥😊

We love pretty nails, and hair tensile! Looking good and feeling good! Thanks to Misty with Arkansas Hospice who came by today to join in on the fun! 💅

Late last Friday night/ early Saturday morning our Rodger’s facility was hit by the tornado that went through NWA. While the thought of anyone going through a natural disaster is terrifying. We are extremely thankful and grateful that none of our residents or staff were injured during the emergency its self, or during the evacuation.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Rodger’s community for coming together and assisting our sister facility during their time of need.
To the facilities who prepared a warm bed and greeted our residents with a smile and heartfelt hug.
To our staff who stayed calm, collected, and worked efficiently to ensure the safety of our residents. We thank you.
The Blossoms is extremely grateful for the amazing communities we are surrounded by.
Lastly, The Blossoms at White River would like to let our family at Rodger’s know, we are thinking and praying for you. ��

Last week's storm tested us in ways we never expected, but our amazing team at The Blossoms rose to the occasion. Their professionalism and compassion ensured the well-being of all our residents and staff.

We are deeply grateful for their efforts. Together, we are not just rebuilding—we are becoming stronger than ever.🌟💪

⭐ Nursing Home Week has started strong with Marvel/DC Monday! ⭐
National Nursing Home Week is celebrated every year to recognize facilities across America who care for our senior population.
Today, our residents celebrated by getting a special visit from Spider-Man who passed out popcorn and even stayed to watch Iron Man with us! 🌟
Each resident got to pick out their own Superhero mask and pose for a picture behind the backdrop!

Mother’s Day...a day where we come together to celebrate not just our mothers, but also our mother figures in our lives.
Each one of us has been shaped into the individuals we are today because of our special mother figures. ❤️
To the mothers, mother figures, and bereaved mothers this Mother’s Day; may we never forget how truly blessed we are to have such strong women in our lives. Happy Mother’s Day from your Blossom at White River family. ❤️

What’s better than water balloons and water guns? Adding bubbles into the mix! Each resident participating enjoyed getting to plan their strategic moves to strike at just the right time!

This morning was sure groovy with this bunch! 💗
Today our residents participated in a “Music Moves Us” activity!

We had musical instruments, dance scarfs, singing and loads of laughs!
Each resident decided if they wanted an instrument, or scarf. Throughout the duration of the activity; residents were being active! While engaging in tactile and auditorial sensory stimulation. It was pretty incredible to listen to them all reminisce over their youth!
We bopped back to the 50’s and got groovy with it up into the 60’s and 70’s!

Today our residents tested their skills while racing ducks!
We used our full range of motion while reeling in our fishing poles, and we had to work really hard to see who would cross the finish line!
This activity was wonky, silly, and loads of fun!
It even brought up fond memories from our childhoods...fishing in the pond with our family and friends. ❤️

Bingo...it is never just a game. 😎
When our residents come together for this beloved activity, they’re participating in an activity with a multitude of benefits.
💜 They’re engaging their minds. Bingo requires cognitive concentration, bingo also enhances our memory, helping keep our minds sharp!
🗣️ They’re socializing with their peers, fostering a sense of belonging and reducing feelings of isolation.
💗 Playing bingo helps emotional well-being by being a source of enjoyment and entertainment! It lifts our spirits and helps us to overcome boredom or loneliness. Bingo can also cause a release endorphins when you win a game!
Lastly, it requires us to use our fine motor skills. Partaking in bingo can help maintain and improve our hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and finger flexibility for our residents. Talk about WINNING! 🌟

🌞🌕 🌑✨ As the moon crossed in front of the sun, casting its shadow upon us, we witnessed a breathtaking spectacle of nature. 🌒🔭 The sky grew dark, and the air was filled with anticipation and wonder as we experienced this rare celestial event together. 💫🌌 With our eyes turned skyward, we were captivated by the beauty and mystery of the universe, feeling a profound connection to the cosmos. 🌠🌟 🌞🌑

The party was hoppin’ at White River this Good Friday! 🐰🐣
Our residents started their morning off with Easter Bingo, followed by praise and worship, and ending the day with a cupcake decorating contest, Easter social and lastly….. The Easter Bunny hopped by for a photo shoot and Easter egg hunt!
With all of the fun we were having let’s not forget the real reason for the season.
On this Good Friday, let’s all take a moment to remember the reason behind Easter.
As we go into this holiday weekend may we not forget the one who paid the ultimate price.
