New yard signs, what’s everyone’s thoughts?

The black handrail with white posts is looking spectacular. These homeowners did an awesome job choosing colors. This ColorGaurd handrail is a very nice choice.

12x35 Fiberon Composite Deck….

Moving along on our project in Conover. Roof is fully framed up and awaiting inspection. All the sheathing is installed and we are getting ready to start installing decking after the stairs go in. Let us know how we can help you with your next project.

Saturday update…..

Moving ahead with this project in Conover. Feeling like we are finally making some headway after waiting on the county to get some paperwork in order for permitting. Small repair job taken care of this week. This poor ladies deck was actually falling down due to rotten support posts. We replaced her posts and her stairs that had also fallen due to age and poor craftsmanship. She shouldnt have any problems from here on out.

This 14x37 wooden deck is all wrapped up. The customer wanted half of the space to be dry underneath. We used Trex RainEscape to make that happen. We are very pleased with the finished product and the homeowners are too. This deck should provide years of enjoyment and entertainment opportunities. The original deck was falling through when we areived and we are happy that we were able to make everything come together just as it needed to. This deck definitely presented its own challenges. A little bit of help from the guys over at B&W Gutters this morning. Give em a call if you need any gutter work taken care of. It was just a short run for the Trex RainEscape and a couple downspouts straightened out for us but we appreciate the good work.

We now have a landing and stairs framed out on our latest project. Stairs are always fun and custom cutting stair stringers is something that seems to be lost to a lot of so called “professionals”. Be weary of a deck builder who cant cut their own stair stringers. It screams inexperience. Stringers are not meant to be bought from Lowes or Home Depot and are always incorrect for the proper stair height.

Making progress on this monster of a deck. At 14x37 this is one of the larger decks we have worked on. Half the deck will have Trex RainEscape water drainage system. Been a long time since we have done anything of this nature. We prefer to stick to building decks these days. Maybe one day we will return to interior work. For now we prefer the fresh air and sunshine. Part of the “Custom Carpentry” was building custom cabinets, fireplace surrounds, and all types of woodwork for customers. Just a little history of the many talents we possess.

Just a little demo work. Typically we average 2-3 loads to the landfill per project. This one was around 8 loads to the landfill. Now that we are done moving backwards we can start moving forward.
