We got our very first goose egg from our beautiful Bernadette!! It was quite the surprise when I went to go collect eggs this morning. We also got our first turkey egg of the season too! So now we have goose, turkey, duck, and chicken...just waiting on guinea to start again and we'll have everyone back to work! Because of the shocking size difference, I thought I would line them up for comparison. The chicken egg is an average size large egg for reference.

Eggs are coming! This morning I collected 5 chicken eggs and 2 duck eggs! These were the first duck eggs of the season. Yesterday I collected 4 chicken eggs. This is only a small fraction of what is to come. Even though Punxsutawney Phil may have predicted 6 more weeks of winter, spring has sprung in Southern California!

I spy some blueberries!!! Patience is finally paying off. It has taken a couple years and a transplant to get to this point. This is the first time I will hopefully be enjoying home grown blueberries! Unfortunately I may eat them all and not have any to sell! 😋💙😁 They have been growing in a wicking tub and seem to be doing well, so if this harvest goes good, maybe I can find some more mature plants and bring them to market eventually.

I will have about only one half dozen a week or every other week for now while I test to see if this is something that my customers would like to see more of eventually.

They taste similar to chicken eggs, but they have a larger yolk to white ratio. They also have a very hard shell.

Last fall, customers made it clear that they wanted turkey eggs. Well, we heard you, and are happy to announce that we will finally be selling turkey eggs at our Thursday night Norco farmers market!

Tomato baskets for tomorrow's farmers market. The assortment looks as pretty as a bouquet of flowers. The varieties are mostly cherries...Super sweet 100, golden sweet, black zebra, and indigo rose...with a couple smaller green zebras to top it off.

Another fun and delicious tomato that we have growing. This one is a favorite of gourmet chefs and is a beautiful adornment to any plate.

This is one of the varieties of tomato we have growing at our farm. This beefsteak tomato has beautiful vibrant colors with a delicious flavor. Unique, beautiful, and great tasting!

Pepper is the leader of her little trio, and always seems to be leading the other 2 where I would prefer they not go😂

She also gives my little ram courage to not be afraid of the crazy dog.

Just above this area, we once had a cooper's hawk nest. They are now gone, but just below where their nest used to be, I noticed some flowers popping up that I most definitely did not plant. I decided to let them go because they looked so pretty. Now I have an out of control wild flower patch that makes me so happy when I walk through this section of the farm. Not only are they beautiful, but they are symbolic to me about life...sometimes the things that were unplanned have the ability to give us so much joy. 🌻

Sophia was extremely excited to test out her new chicken harness. Still a little work to leash train a chicken 😂 though the hen did great on the golf cart ride! She was so calm and sat the whole time. We have a seat attachment that we use for Ellie that worked great with the chicken too! Success!
