The 2023 🍂 Fall Carnival 🎡 is a wrap!✌️We sure hope you had as much fun as we did! Thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, and helped coordinate this years event. Save the Date for the annual Fall Carnival on Friday, November 3rd! Lots of fun for the whole family!

In September, WP 1st grade teacher Mrs. Dahlkoetter received the Norfolk Public Schools Award of Excellence along with $500 to be used within her classroom and/or school. Mandi was passionate about updating the recess area where students drop off their lunchpails in the morning and supplies for outdoor recesses, traffic patrol and lost and found items are housed. Check out this fun, bright, new, organized area that students can now enjoy!
*If you are decluttering or your kiddos have outgrown their outdoor sports balls, the school would be happy to take these gently used items off your hands 😊 *

We would like to thank you for your generous donation to the Fall Fundraiser. We were able to raise $9,558 and have Mr. Strong along with Mrs. Dahlkoetter, enjoy a rooftop lunch for all the students to see! Your commitment to helping Woodland Park Elementary is sincerely appreciated.

Each year Woodland Park receives a tremendous amount of support and participation through its fundraisers. With the help of donations from supporters like you, we continue to see school improvements and student opportunities grow each and every year. Our first assembly (funded through your generous contributions) is in the works with either Real Reptiles or Wildlife Encounters! More details to come 😊

Mrs. Dahlkoetter, one of our awesome 1st grade teachers, was selected by the district to receive the Norfolk Public Schools Award for Excellence 🎉 With around 700 employees in the district this is a very prestigious award and it is well deserved. Mrs. Dahlkoetter is an excellent teacher and makes a daily impact on our students and our staff. We are very proud of her.
She will be receiving the award at the NPS School Board Meeting TONIGHT at Central Office on Phillip Avenue. The Board meeting begins at 5:30 pm.
