🎉🎉Wow!! Jennifer just posted the Yoga Holiday in Southern Spain April 13-20th and registration is already filling up. So cool!🎉🎉 This came about per request of some of Jennifer's students to be able to spend more time together in a more relaxed setting versus a training or the studio. So we will have a week of yoga, nature, delicious food, awesome company, optional hikes, swimming in the salt water pool, sauna, massage, sight-seeing, excursions and more! 'More' because Jennifer will cater to the participants regarding the additional time. For participants, Jennifer will be offering 2 structured classes per day including meditation, yoga asana, Yoga Nidra, and Thai Massage. Then we will have time to ‘talk shop’ or physically practice any of those topics above or spin ideas of business, networking, collaborating etc.Truly a time to connect about what is fresh for you as a practitioner and/or teacher with like-minded folks! Eka Pada Adho Mukha Svanasana ~ One leg Down Down Pose. Let’s chat!! . This is a favored pose in Vinyasa Yoga. It is a stand alone pose and is also frequently used as a transition between other poses. . . Some food for thought! I personally think there are 2 distinct variations of this pose ~ 1 with the option of ‘hips-squared’ and 1 with ‘hips-stacked.’ I encourage the core to be engaged and the shoulders relatively squared vs dipping/collapsing, for either variation. . . That said, as with all sequencing, I ask ‘what comes before and what comes after’ can help inform which variation to take, with the orientation & stability of the pelvis in mind. . . In this demo, the Down Dog has feet hips distance (without the cue of ‘walk the feet together’) then maintaining hips-squared while lifting the leg. This would set up a transition to hips-squared poses nicely such as crescent variations, Warrior 1, Warrior 3, etc. . . Explore this variation of the hips-squared in One Leg Down Dog and give yourself a mini tune up: ⚡️Bend the standing leg to engage the core, square the hips, integrate the shoulders. Then transition to a standing hips-square pose and note the overall integration and stability.⚡️ . How does it feel?!? . .
