HUGE congratulations to Seniors Aidan and Kyle Cousineau on being named to the Standard Times Super Team for Ice Hockey!

“A. Cousineau had an impact across the ice and was named co-MVP of the team as a strong senior year at center. He finished the season with 26 points — 12 goals and 14 assists. “Aidan was a good playmaker,” said coach Ken Gouveia. “He was a good two-way player and good on faceoffs. He more than doubled his offensive production from last year.” ”

“K. Cousineau, a left wing, made major strides over his four-year career and wrapped up his senior season as Bishop Stang’s leading scorer with 28 points. He finished with 13 goals and 15 assists to earn Catholic Central League All-Star honors and co-MVP honors on the team. “Kyle steadily got better. He was probably the most improved player over four years,” said coach Ken Gouveia. “The improvement that he showed, he blossomed into our top scorer this year and more than doubled his offensive production from junior to senior year.”

Shout out to Sr. Kendyll Riedl and Jr. Keegan Plante on being named Standard Times All Stars in Girls Soccer and in Football!

"Kendyll excelled as a midfielder/forward for the Spartans. Scored six goals and notched 12 assists on the way to earning Catholic Central League All-Star honors. Did all the little things that help teams win games as a four-year starter. Worked hard to keep possession of the ball and won a lot of 50-50 balls in the middle."

"Plante was named a Catholic Central League All-Star for his contributions as a defensive end for the Spartans. “He played great defensive end for us,” said Bishop Stang head coach Dennis Golden. “He’s got good instincts defensively and was a good pass rusher and good against the run.” Plante had 31.5 tackles, seven tackles for loss, four sacks, two quarterback pressures, two blocked punts and one fumble recovery. He also contributed as a running back on offense, carrying the ball 96 times for 474 yards, three touchdowns and three 2-point conversions. “He ran the ball hard,” Golden said."

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Sr. Nate Rezendes on being named to the Standard Times Super Team for Boys Soccer!

“Started the season as a center fullback but was called upon to make the switch to midfielder late in the season. Finished with two goals and an assist and proved versatile enough to be named a Catholic Central League All-Star. "Nate was a good, tactical defender who was strong on the ball," Bishop Stang coach Ricardo Aguiar said. "He kept our back line on the same page and did a nice job communicating with our goalie. He also gave us a nice spark on offense when he moved to the midfield."

Congrats Nate!

Congratulations to Sr. Josh Roderiques on being named to the Standard Times Super Team for Boys Soccer!

“A true team player and talented midfielder, Roderiques did all the little things that don't show up in the box score and was rewarded for his efforts by being named a Catholic Central League All-Star. "Joshua did all the dirty work for us. He won a lot of 50-50 balls in the middle of the field and was good on balls in the air," Bishop Stang coach Ricardo Aguiar said. "He was tough to get past on defense and he was strong on the ball. He made a lot of big plays in the middle to help us keep possession of the ball."

Congrats Josh!

“Played a key role on offense for the Spartans with eight goals and four assists as an attacking midfielder with good ball skills and a good head for the game. Earned All-Star honors playing in the competitive Catholic Central League. "Spencer was a natural scorer and playmaker who did a great job creating scoring chances for himself and his teammates," Bishop Stang coach Ricardo Aguiar said, "He beat a lot of defenders in one-on-one situations with his quickness and he had a good nose for the net.""

Used her speed to get behind defenses and finish in small spaces. "Izzie was very creative with the ball," Bishop Stang coach Bob Shields said. "She was a dominant attacker against double teams. Teams always wanted to know where she was on the field."

Congrats Izzie!

Shout out to Sr. Taki Sakellaropoulos on being named to the Standard Times Super Team for Football!

“As an offensive guard, Sakellaropoulos blocked for a Bishop Stang team that rushed for over 2,400 yards against tough competition in the Catholic Central League and beyond. “He played with a low-pad level and he had a great drive off the ball,” said Bishop Stang head coach Dennis Golden. “He was a self-made lineman. He kept improving. He jumped rope to improve his speed. A lot of credit goes to him for his work ethic.” The two-way starting lineman, who also played defensive tackle, was named a CCL All-Star. Defensively, Sakellaropoulos had 32 tackles, two quarterback pressures and forced a fumble.”

Congrats Taki!

"Nobody successfully single blocked him. He was just a tough kid.” Oliveira had 40.5 tackles, six tackles for loss, two quarterback pressures and three sacks to earn Catholic Central League All-Star honors. The three-year, two-way starter also played tight end on offense and helped the Spartans rack up 2,400 rushing yards. “He’s a heck of a blocker,” Golden said. “We ran behind him a lot. He’s physically tough and he’s physically strong. He was a leader for us.”
