We spent some time the last couple of days doing OASIS training with staff from all of our different locations. It was some great information and discussions on items related to the functional tasks within the OASIS and how to document those appropriately! There was also great opportunities to learn from each location on processes and just getting to know everyone.

Earlier this week we had the opportunity to sit with other members of the Homecare Association and discuss various topics. It's always great to talk with other agencies and and our Association on what's going well, and other challenges facing our industry! Thanks for the opportunity!

Thank you to our rural home healthcare and home care providers who met Wednesday, Aug. 7, during the North Platte leg of the Summer Engagement Tour. There was great discussion on issues and the major challenges facing home health and home care providers.

Thank you also to Vetter Health Services - Linden Estates North Platte for hosting.

Earlier this week, the Administrators from all four of our Home Health locations, got together to support the annual Vetter Foundation Golf Tournament. This event helps raise funds for various charitable organizations that the Foundation supports. While it was on the warm side, we still had a great time supporting this great cause. We also enjoyed the opportunity to meet and converse with different people and discuss different topics.

We had great day of learning today! Thanks to Nebraska Hospice and Palliative Care Association for organizing this event. To help you understand your Medicare options before open enrollment begins October 15, local insurance brokers are hosting educational sessions for the public.

Platte Insurance Services is hosting the following sessions at Mid-Plains Community College, South Campus, 601 W. State Farm Rd., North Platte, Neb., at the following dates and times:
• June 3 – 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. (for Iron Road policy holders only)
• June 6 – 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Lane Hastings Insurance is hosting additional education sessions regarding Medicare options at the North Platte Senior Center, 901 E. 10th St., North Platte, Neb., at the following dates and times:
• August 8 - 10 a.m.
• October 7 - 10 a.m.
