Perfect example of decorating a space with lots of white. Walls, floors, furniture. Does this look boring ? No way! It’s fresh ,lively and VERY versatile! Change the accent colors and you have a completely new space! Could even be changed seasonally! Afraid of a white sofa (?) , no worries, it’s a slipcover! Throw in the wash with a whitening detergent and it’s brand new!

Wow , I just got news that a house that I remodeled in the fall( owner was relocated after remodel) just sold in one day!!! 8 offers in 22 hours! 2k under asking! I’m so happy for the seller! Just goes to show, the right design decisions make for quick sales!! Some photos of the afters( staged for sale). We would have furnished it much differently if the client were to stay.

For those of you thinking of selling your house please consider a professional staging. I understand the idea of doing work and spending money on a house that you are selling seems like a bad idea, but the amount of money and time you’ll loose by not doing it is way more!
I just had a staging client call me with amazing news! But first , a little background. They called me to stage their house last fall. Kind of like most first stagers, the husband was against it. He was thinking , “what difference are pillows going to make or new lamp shades.....they aren’t buying those things?” ( or something like that!) Anyway , when we were finished they loved it so much they decided to wait to list it! Well they listed it this spring ! SOLD in three days and VERY close to asking price!!! I’m so happy for them! Needless to say, they are staging believers now!
Staging doesn’t have to mean putting in a new kitchen! It depends on what shape your house is in, as far as the extent of the investment. And if you are willing to do the work yourself you can save lots of money!
When staging for sale, remember, light bright , airy, clean....very clean!! Less is more on the accessories!
A fast sale is what will make you money. The longer it’s on the market the lower your sale price will be and when you are at the bargaining table those numbers drop in pretty large increments so , Stage ! It really helps! Click photos below for tips on what I did!
