What better way to celebrate a sunny Monday then to pair it with a nice cold iced tea?
Summer storm season can bring a host of property damage challenges, including high winds, heavy rain, hail, and lightning. These storms can cause significant destruction, such as roof damage from strong winds or fallen trees, water intrusion from torrential downpours, and siding or window damage from hail. Additionally, lightning strikes can lead to fires or electrical issues. The aftermath of such storms often requires immediate attention to mitigate further damage and ensure safety. Effective preparation, including securing loose outdoor items, maintaining gutters and drainage systems, and having an emergency response plan, is crucial to minimize the impact of summer storm season on properties.
We all love the sunshine that summer brings. But with rising temperatures comes increased risk of mold growth. We've seen homes and businesses where reconstruction was necessary due to rampant mold.

Per NASA: View the Sun through eclipse glasses or a handheld solar viewer during the partial eclipse phases before and after totality.
You can view the eclipse directly without proper eye protection only when the Moon completely obscures the Sun’s bright face – during the brief and spectacular period known as totality. (You’ll know it’s safe when you can no longer see any part of the Sun through eclipse glasses or a solar viewer.)
As soon as you see even a little bit of the bright Sun reappear after totality, immediately put your eclipse glasses back on or use a handheld solar viewer to look at the Sun.

Commercial water damage refers to the destruction or impairment of property and assets within commercial establishments due to water-related incidents. These incidents can stem from various sources, including burst pipes, roof leaks, faulty plumbing, or natural disasters like floods or storms.
The consequences of commercial water damage can be severe, leading to structural damage, mold growth, equipment malfunction, inventory loss, and business interruption. Such incidents not only incur significant financial losses but also tarnish the reputation of businesses and compromise the safety of employees and customers.
Prompt and effective mitigation efforts, including water extraction, drying, and restoration, are essential to minimize the impact of commercial water damage and ensure the swift recovery of affected businesses. Additionally, implementing preventive measures such as routine maintenance, installing water detection systems, and having contingency plans in place can help mitigate the risk of future water-related disasters.

Happy Birthday Stuart!
Ice dams are ridge-like formations of ice that typically form along the edges of a roof, especially in colder climates. They occur when heat from the interior of a building causes snow on the roof to melt, and the melted water refreezes at the eaves where the roof is colder. Over time, these ice dams can trap water behind them, potentially leading to leaks and water damage inside the building. Ice dams pose significant risks to the structural integrity of roofs and can necessitate costly repairs if not addressed promptly. Proper insulation, ventilation, and maintenance are essential for preventing ice dams from forming.

Given the proper conditions, mold will start to germinate and grow as early as 24 hours after encountering the moisture source. In 3 to 12 days, the mold spores will colonize. In 18-21 days, the mold can become visible. If mold grows too long, your property may require demolition and reconstruction services.
