Fans of short track racing I wanna let y’all in on a little secret. Those “local” drivers you go watch on Friday Saturday and Sunday nights. Those guys don’t race for the money, those guys race cuz they love to do it. Most of em spend every last dime they have buying new and used parts to get to the track every week no matter the cost. If those guys bend a spindle or tie rod, they can’t afford to go buy new, they straighten it the best they can and run it till the car can pay for a new one. They spend every last dime they have to put on a show for you. So if a local racer gets some apparel made, don’t be afraid to spend your last $25 on his shirt. Cuz I promise he spent his last $25 getting there that night.

Next project is a 72 Camaro frame replace.. All stripped down and ready to cut some welds and 4 mounts and it will be out and ready for the replacement… Replacement is all cleaned up and painted!!😁😁. Enjoying my life, one headache at a time LOL🤣🤣🤣

Tomorrow I get the transmission and can button up this Caprice LS and Get going on the 72 Camaro frame swap. Have replacement all cleaned up and started painting it today.. Will be a busy weekend at the shop . I love working on these old classics. But starting Monday I have race cars coming in for setup and some cars to finish building and get them up for sale, along with getting the 24 mini back together after finding our power issue was do to a bad batch of rockers that ruined are new cam in just 18 laps. So thanks to Norm Ashaway Performance Engines I picked up a new head with a little different cam to get the season started at The Bowl until new cam comes back from NC and goes back in my brand new head!! Thank you to everyone that supports me and my new adventure!! Life is what you make of it and it’s never too late to take that step and chance on what you love to do!!

I want to personally Thank Timothy Baker Sarah Baker Joseph Baker James Garrity Tom Sweeny Jeramie Longton James Amaral Grant Spaulding For being at the track and dealing with the weather and all the work they put in helping to get there to shake the car down! Even though we didn’t race the feature, we got the car shook down, motor broke in and chassis responds well to adjustments finally. So now we will make some changes and head off to the dyno for final tuning and head off to The New London-Waterford Speedbowl on April 18th for testing.

The Baker-Caddick Family Racing 24 mini will not be running the the Ice Breaker today, do to Me standing behind my team and not Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park and the Organization running it when $500 dollars in pit passes that they will not honor from yesterday and want us to pay it again for $200 to win.. I stand with my team, fans and sponsors and we will head to the dyno and get ready for The New London-Waterford Speedbowl in 2024!
