*Important info for car riders!*

Morning Arrival Information:

The building opens for students at 8:25. Do not allow students outside of your car before staff is on the sidewalk to monitor at 8:25 for K-5 students.

The tardy bell rings at 8:55. After this time a parent or guardian will need to walk a student into the office to sign into school for the day.

PK student arrival is 9 am and parents must walk them to the PK door.

Afternoon Dismissal Information:

If your student is a car rider in the afternoons, please complete the form for car rider tags (https://forms.gle/NQ6hNQfsQ7r1C4xr6). These will be handed out as we receive the request and must be visible in the driver’s car window when you enter the AES parking lot for pick up.

Dismissal will begin at 3:40 pm and usually takes about 15 minutes. Please make sure you arrive to pick up your student before 4:00 pm.

Please follow the traffic pattern below in the afternoon to pick up your student.

📢 Important Update 📢

Due to the potential impact of Tropical Storm Debby, the Board of Education addressed possible changes during the meeting this evening. IF inclement weather prevents the opening of school on Thursday, August 8, the school calendar will be adjusted. In that case:

* August 8th and 9th will be designated as optional teacher workdays.
* The first day of school for students will be rescheduled to Monday, August 12, 2024.

Please keep an eye on our district and school pages for the latest updates as the storm progresses and a final decision is made. Stay safe and prepared! 🌧️📚

CEP: Community Eligibility Provision

The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a non-pricing meal service option for schools and students.

Stanly County Schools students will receive breakfast and lunch at No Cost under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as part of the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2024-2025 school year.

With the implementation of CEP program, there will not be a need to submit meal applications for free, reduced-price and paid student meals.

No Cost Meals are comprised of lean proteins, healthy whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables.

A La Carte items, snacks, and beverages will still be available for purchase.

Tomorrow at the end of awards day we will celebrate our 5th graders! All 5th grade families come join us in the library where we will have special gifts and our 5th grade graduation video ❤️ 🧑‍🎓 we will miss our 5th graders as they head to middle school❤️
